Animations in AoC far surpass any of these. Sadly it doesn't get the spotlight it deserves, Game is top notch, specially if you like PvE

I agree 100% that and Ultima Online Pre-Trammel which you can still play thats one thing I like about EVE no barrens chat, and the help channel is one of the best ive seen of any mmo.

I disagree with much of the article though. Age of Conan looks fine, I don't play much because of the gameplay not because of the graphics or the boobs. Sure you can see boobs if you take off your clothes, but I don't see people running around topless.

What on earth is Bill going on about here? Maybe its down to every MMO journalist pretending cartoon graphics are fine now they know EQNext is going to be a cartoon. The fact is AoC has not been surpassed as the top MMO graphicaly out there, being realistic is not a problem when no one has brought out a better graphics quality MMO. Sure Skyrim might make AoC look somewhat older, but in MMO land it reigns supreme.
Very amusing list - but mostly very unamusing responses. 'Adult' means porn - that isn't restricted to the game world, it applies to film, books, TV etc. etc. so objecting on those grounds is absurd. The list made absolutely clear which games have worth as games (Vindictus) aside from their adult element (you may disagree about the worth but should then present a decent argument as to why). The list wasn't about absurd games - though that would be one I would love to read! - it was about games which have an 'adult' element. Now I completely agree that the concept of 'adult' games is basically absurd - why look at pixels when porn is so readily available (if that is what you are after)? But that only adds to the fact that the games have an inherent comedy about them.

To put it simply tits, ass and dismemberment do not make an adult or even mature game. At the very least it should be labeled as 'some mature content'.
An adult game is basically treating the audience as adults. And thats in everything- story, speech, situations, content, character development. Its like a movie, its why they use an almost identical rating system.
As it looks the only true adult MMO we may experience is World of Darkness. And its my fear that they'll make it PG13 to appeal to a larger player base, a mistake in my opinion.
I think compromising the product, be it movie or MMO, is a disservice to the developers and the consumer. If 'youre' going to pick an adult IP then treat it as such.
Just think how 'epic' Pulp Fiction, The Exorcist, Mad Max, The Godfather, Terminator, Alien and Aliens would be had they made them PG-13. Or better yet has anyone watched a rated R movie thats been edited for television and thought it was better?

Eve online is adult purely because the level of patience requured is insane.. Also genral mindset you need to evensurvive as a player.. Sure some kuds are able to pull this off but most of the people in eve are in their late 20's mud 30's range .
It's really unfair to Vindictus. I play it, and my Fiona's definitively armored from head to toe. I don't see any Evy or Vella running around in chainmail bikini either. Using nude mods to justify this choice is ludicrous, every single MMO has those, including WoW and company. People sure are messed up when it comes to sex and nudity in North America. Everyone loves to look but when you get caught you have to act like it disgusts you or people treat you like some pervert. It's one of the few areas the younger generation has made a giant leap forward. They don't have to be closet weirdos when it comes to this topic.
All this list does is show they're not really against these types of games, it just gives them a legit reason to keep talking and looking at them.
Having played blade&soul, you are unable to make your toons nude. Only reason you see nude blade&soul avatars is because people with no life download the nude patch. Beyond that, B&S is an awesome game.

Guess the title is reasonable as it a game that adults are more likely to play, but they are not the most adult oriented games.
There are plenty of cartoonish games that adults play more often than just about every game on the list.
