Ok I'll admit the game is a little rough but once they add loads of new content you guys will wish you never got a refund. The basic core of this game is fabulous.
What other Mmo has snow boarding? Parachutes? Can have thousands of players at once (super fun orgy) and his great customer service like Alchemic Dream and has Gary Gyax writing the quest?
For the life of me, I cant understand why you people are complaing about this game, it has sooo many wonderful features, im thinking most of the whiners didn't get an account and the rest are sad because they cant log into the best game ever!

So how long do you expect them to wait for this miracle to happen? 1 month? 2? 3? Can't say 4 because that's when DnL is supposed to be out. If they can't even get SOG to work which is what? 1/10th the size of the DnL. There is little to no hope of them getting out enough bugs. A wait and see approach is recommended. Sadly though it will take them much longer then 4 to 6 months to turn this game around. By that time it will be too late. With so many other MMORPG's due out in mid 2006. Others set to hit Stress, Open, or even a new Closed phase during that time also. Not to mention the PS3 launch. New titles for the XBox360.

it would be great if i could play it....i do get only 5-8 fps with a gf6600 gt, 1gb ram and 3.0 ghz
thats redicolous...worst performance in a game i ever expirienced, really sad cause i would like to play this game
the game is in alpha stadium...didnt had that much problems in any beta tests and i had over 10 beta tests already
Mmm, something wrong for you there. try moving away from the newbie area or lowering your settings.
Most people can get 25fps (its capped), with systems less powerful.
maximum fps was 11 for a short time but average is 5-8 fps for me...not to mention that i crash every 15 min. cause of dnlg.exe errors....its really unplayable for me and not fun
the game looks great but i have that much problems so i cant enjoy it...some of my friends even get only 3 fps ....thats really shitty fps and not acceptable for any game. i joined many betas but never had so many performance problems like in this game
i run the game with the lowest settings and tried many settings already and played around with engine, shader, screen resolution etc...nothing helped..for every setting i get about the same fps +-2 fps
Dont worry if this game sucked so bad you would see thousands of accounts on ebay or better yet people wouldnt be buying them on ebay... People would have to give them away for free (hint hint not seeing anyone do these things)
This game is SUPER and you all will see soon enough!
I would not pay for SOG as a game. But none can really say if DNL is good or bad yet since there are several MONTHS before the game comes.
Of course people are extremely critical and so they shall, this is not a normal game you buy and just say "heck, might play some times", this is a MMORPG that you will spend much time and money at.

Yes it will be great, all those saying they have greay systems and getting bad performance must be sitting around with tons of other people, the world is hudge get out there and find a spot with less people. I get atleast 15 fps almost everywhere and my computer isn't top end.
My opinion matters to everyone...

This is the worst game engine every, they should sell what they have to a real game company and let them make it better. Great idea, looks okay but plays like crap, not worth playing for free. Sorry to burst everybody's bubble but in order to save thisgame they should really sell all the rights, and the engine as is to a company like Mythic, Blizzard, or even turbine and let them make this a great game, otherwise its going to die a horrible death.
Ok, I got into the game finally this morning before work, and played for a bit.
Pros:
I like the huge world.
I love how you actually slow down when running up hills and speed up or tumble going downhill
I love the jump animations and the diving.
The snowboarding and stuff is pretty unique.
Cons:
The graphics detail is no where near what I expected from a new release. First generation at best.
The fighting system is pretty clunky, difficult to control anything.
The camera system needs alot of work.
No content, just run around and kill mobs or PK people.
The sound has a strange glitch where it sometimes starts to screach, and you have to turn off the music to stop it.
Numerous bugs with various things.
Overall:
The game had potential a few years ago, but now the poor graphics engine really puts a hurting on it.
The lack of content (ie. Quests, Crafting, Immersion into something going on in the world) will take alot of work to implement, and I cannot see any of this being completed before April of 2006.
In general, if NP3 does not do a major overhall on the graphics engine and does not get some kind of immersive content into the game, then there will be no way I'll pay a monthly subscription for DnL in April.
Just an honest review from a longtime gamer.
