PvE Gear vs. Frontline gear

I know they announced that PvP skills would be different from PvE gear BUT, do you guys think that the PvE gear will be different from the Frontline gear?

The devs said there would be two types of PvP:  Arena and Frontline, and the skills would differ from PvE.

BUT I don't want to spend 2-3 months farming tokens for my PvE gear for them to go and say, "oh your current high end PvE gear is useless, you gotta use this different set of Frontline PvP gear".  How many of you think they would do this?  I suppose this is like a WoW type track BUT if you have high end pve gear in wow its still useful and can be worn in PvP. 

So I guess the two big questions are:

1.  Will you actually be able to wear your PvE gear in PvP frontlines or will it be an actual different set of gear?  (ala Guild Wars 2 arena PvP.  Sidenote:  PvE gear can be worn in WvWvW)

2.  Will the PvE gear we farm be so crappy it shouldn't be used in comparison with what will be available in the front line world?

I think they could just make everyones lives easier and just let PvE gear be worn in PvP and just give PvP stat bonuses like Daoc as opposed to creating a separate PvP gear grind.  I mean we already have a PvE gear grind, why add another one?

Lastly, I know people will say "oh the stuff farmed in PvP should not be able to be used in PvE because it would create an unfair advantage of people who don't go to PvP."  Yeah I get that argument so they should just make PvE gear useable in PvP and don't make a separate Frontline PvP gear grind.  Yes, kids nowadays have grown up with a Arena PvP gear grind, but I hope they don't feed the gear grind machine and create a Frontline PvP gear grind.  Just make it attribute/skill bonus based.

Well any thoughts for those of you who know this company better than me?  Or has there been a new article released with more pvp info?
