The Biggest MMO you ever see, yeah right, umm how about the crappiest game engine you ever seen. wow I got in for like 30 min today.Horrible crap code, never seen such unprofessionalism in my life. 4 yrs actually 5 and this is what we get, Oh my God you have to be kidding me... Have fun in your 10 FPS 25 FPS capped world while I play 75 FPS or even higher in EQ2, WOW, SWG, Silkroad online (125 FPS with all settings high). I get 90 FPS in FEAR with everything turned up High. Horrible I tell you and people paid $60 for it is the biggest embarrasment in MMO history and the people who paid $60 for it oh man feel bad for you guys. You all must be shaking your heads going what this it?

25 fps for me all the time (away from newbie area). No idea why it's capped, sure that will (should) be taken out.
Not that it really matters. 25fps is fine for a MMORPG.
Erm, SWG framerate's capped at 30. Also WOWs framerate is capped as far as I know as well too.

Umm nope everyone on here is wrong, no capped framerates in SWG or WOW. If you go to google and download a little app called FRAPS load that sucker up and it tells you the FPS of whatever game you are playing. WOW: I get 75 to 85 Frames per second with everything turned up (yep 75 to 85 FPS), SWG I get 65 to 75 sometimes FPS with all graphics turned up (yep thats right), oh and FEAR gets 90 FPS stable, EQ2 gets 80 FPS stable with medium settings, and lets see Black and White 2 gets 85 FPS. This is with all vertical sync disabled of course since if vertical sync it ticked on the frame will follow the HTZ of you monitor settings. Forgive my Northeaster American attitude, maybe some of those Europeans can play a game on 25 FPS but I sure as hell refuse to. Sticking to my American developers only, oh except for the Koreans and Japanese because they are great programmers too, the French need some help with the IT stuff....

Dear God... with his extreme need to compensate by throwing around these numbers that wouldn't make one bit of a difference in an MMORPG (and for the majority of people, no difference in shooters either), I can only conclude that his... thingy... is less than 2 inches long and about as firm as a stick of butter that has been sitting in the sun all day long. Rock on dude, you need all the FPS you can get

Wow, everyday you keep saying you are not going to play SOG. 2days ago you said you were going to play wow/swg. Even yesterday you said you uninstalled the software, and was going to play silkroad. What did you install the game again, and then come back and play it again?

Gotta realize that this game has never been tested under massive stress, and was made by a totally unexperienced game design company. Problems were to be expected at launch.
Plus, it's only got ONE server with a population of more than 19,000 users that were all eager to try it, and probably log in all at the same time or so. What server could handle that without some tweaking?
Just this morning, I swam all the way to an island, relatively far from the newbie area, and guess what : No Lag!
(no mobs either, but that's another story).
Just give them some more time, geez. Their servers just melted down, and they did manage to fix it in 2 days or so. Give them the Christmas holydays and I'm pretty sure things will have improved alot.
Not to mention many whiners will have left the game for good = less lag :P

lmfao, were you the only one to play swg or wow, NO, so STFU, and listen up with swg you could get past 1-1/2 near any city with toons in it and 22-50 was the tops, and with wow if you even geta anything over 45fps your gonna hit lvl 60 too fast and the game is over...
so before you go slamming a game you could only get onto for 30 minutes and are still so eagerly trying to re-connect onto, STFU and think before you post what your last fart sounded like....

"Officially" It's not. It's a prelude to the game, not a beta.
But yes, it -is- in fact the beta version of the game, one more reason to stop flaming it, submit bugs and problems to the devs (using the support contact) - a much more constructive way to complain about them, and stop cluttering forums all over the net with repetitive complains that have little or no serious and constructive arguments or suggestions to improve things (not directed toward anybody in particular, i've been browsing these forums for days and was amazed at the number of threads started by whiners).

The server should be available again in a few hours.
We fixed a list of bugs, but we still have a memory leak that will be corrected ASAP.
In the meantime, we will continue to frequently restart the server.

what the fucking hell are you talking about? FPS = frames per second. It has nothing to do with gameplay.
It just goes to show you noone on here knows anything about computers. Oh yeah and a good example would be NP cube, Farlan whatever, anyone associated with this piece of dog poo called Dark and Light oh im osrry Settlers of Ganareth. Gee just played Star Wars Galaxies for 2 hours straight traveled across a huge glaxy to another planet, fought had fun and did some quests while you idiots wait forever to play a crappy POS game. YEY!!!!!!!!!

FPS = Frames Per Second from a technical standpoint.
SWG was a good game 2.5 years to about 8 months ago. Since then, watching paint dry is not only cheaper but more entertaining. Don't believe me, I'll give you the first can of white paint free...try it.
