Im assuming you downloaded the Phillippine version of the game . In that case unless you live there chances are you are in a country were they ban all ip addresses from using the game. Check here to see why: Here

If you're trying to play right now, you're probably trying to get into the philippine's open beta. Where are you from? Here's the reason why I ask.

RF Online Philippines is blocking access by international players to avoid territorial conflicts, as requested by CCR Inc.

These are the countries whose access to the game will blocked.

    1. Taiwan
    2. Japan
    3. China
    4. UK
    5. US

If you're from one of these places, or if your internet ISP routes through one of these places, then most likely you can't play because the game is already liscensed to distribute through a different company in these places, and the philippine beta one is liscensed by Levelup, thus your IP is blocked (unless you use a proxy filter). If you're from the Europe/US region then you need to wait for the Codemasters beta which should be coming soon, you can sign up for it at their website.

    http://www.codemasters.com/rfonline/

If you're from the Japanese region then the game is liscened to Sega to distribute for players to play, so you can play their version of the game, and if you're in the korean region you can play the game hosted by CCR who originally created the game.

The different versions of the games distributed by these companies are pretty much the same game, it's just that some of the values may vary between them, such as how much XP you can gain from a certain monster or how much certain items may cost from vendors, etc.

    Hope that helps ^_^

Obviously, in order to connect to PH updater it routes you through one of the banned countries.

Exactly what was stated above they banned any ip addresses from various countries and if you provider some how routes thru them you will not be able to play phil. open beta. The reason for this is because they have announced beta soon coming to the US and UK and rather have you apply for that beta.
