Quest to go to new areas

Has anyone talked to the npc who mentions going to other regions, maybe the other region that you're supposed to be able to get to. i did just before the server crashed and then i can't talk to the npc anymore and i dont remember what it was i was to do. has anyone done this quest? has anyone even been able to pvp yet

So... anyone had luck doing this quest? I tried starting it too and am completely lost as how to do quests in the game.
I was looking for the quest NPC last nite when I got dropped.
All I've learned so far was that he was "on the south beach, more to the east". Maybe tonite the server will be up and I can try.
There's supposedly a really nice quest journal too, did you check on the options menu? The DnL icon in the bottom left? Many people have said how nice the journal is, but I haven't even found an NPC that won't insult me. heh

I have looked at the quest journal but there really is no information about the quest, other than a picture and text saying that I talked to the quest giver lol. When I go back the the NPC to ask him a question, all he does is insult me and tells me to get lost...
BTW, the quest NPC that I talked to is in the center of the starter town.
lol, aye me too. The first quest seems to be chatting to the guy but in all the confusion of getting on and not crashing, I didn't really see what he said apart from wolves, west and speak to someone.
Needless to say, never saw anyone but the wolves where lvl 1 to the west
Hmm... I didn't get any of that. He told me to give him some paper, which I did, then he stopped talking. Now all I have is a quest journal with some icons in it, and no idea what the quest is about or where to go... lol
I did this quest also. I had to go out and find a light and a dark mana crystal. Came back and talked to the NPC and then he sent me to Cinn in the west to talk to some dodo trainer about a pack of wolves. Told me that the way was dangerous and said he gave me a sword...which I could find no where in my bags or inventory. Server went down after that so not sure what is next.
As for training, over your health bar where your little face pic is there is a box you click on, at level 5 you can pick between fighter, cleric, mage or hunter I think it is. You do the same thing again at level 10. There is no NPC that you need to talk to in order to train.
When you got lvl 5 a Empty black/grey box appears in the stats window. Click on it. Took me ages to figure out.
hmm.. when I get back in I'll have to look harder for that guy. There was one, sitting in a chair nearby what appeared to be a waypoint of some kind, but he just wouldn't talk to me.
