The North American Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn site has been updated with a trio of videos from the recently held Tokyo Game Show. The videos show off features that will be arriving with v2.1, a major update to the game. Players can look forward to PvP in a 4v4 zone, personal housing and the Blinding Coil of Bahamut.
Players will also be able to change hairstyles at the barber shop, take part in several epic dungeons, treasure hunting and much more.
Check out the PvP video below, then head to the Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn site to check out the other two.

I am so good, I backstabbed your face!
The housing looks so friggin good. I gotta keep saving up gil haha. Feels good to have a great mmo again.
What is wrong with kids? Seriously, what would be the point in having a glorified point and click adventure on your 50 inch LED TV in HD with 60fps and 7.1 surround sound.
Turned based needs to die.. sooo slow and boring.. ZZZZZzzz
FF ARR is a solid mmo, its growing and it has full focus of one of the most dedicated lead developer i have ever seen.
Lets see what the future brings, either way i love FF ARR !
No matter how cynical you become, its never enough to keep up - Lily Tomlin
"action combat" one hot bar crap is for kids.
Nice stuff!
Can't wait!
Not bad, but i hope it won't be long till they add more quests, and a better way to do the obrigatory dungeons in the main quest, sick and tired of waiting over 1 hour to get a group for one.
Other than the monotony of the quests, is a pretty nice game.
any eta for 2.1?
I know they said content patches would be every 3 months but not sure what target month is for 2.1

Whuh? All I saw was a video (from a computer much more top-of-the-line than mine or possibly on a PS4) that showed an area that looked like it was lifted from WoW-Northrend (a combination of the harbor in Dragonblight and the area in Storm Peaks with all the giant blue warrior women), then in the waning seconds showed 4 characters running forward before fading out, without showing any action at all.
Is that the same video you all saw in the link above? Because if so, I sure didn't get the same "this game is awesome" feeling. Maybe the Japanese text at the end promised the PvP, player housing, barbershop, new dungeons, etc.
Jolly, balanced arena PvP matches...
I'll pass!
What exactly "looks great"? Did you watch the video?
First PvP video I've ever seen that didn't show any PvP. None at all.
So, from the video, what's so great about PvP in this game?
Fans of FFXIV seem to append a "wow, that's awesome" even when it doesn't fit. Not exactly honest.

Or we clicked the link and watched all the other videos
The area looks great? What they showed in all 3 videos looked great?
Are the haters this desperate to find something to nitpick nowadays? I do feel for you for having to deal with all the "PvP is great in this game" posts in this thread though (all 0 of them).
