I read alot of post in this forum that they think DnL will never see daylight after SOG rocky launch.

True, the game is not in any good shape at this time, the mobs, pets, avatars have low graphic and dont move too smoothy.

I do think that the landscape are very nice, this is actual the first MMORPG that have a natural lanscape with vallys, mountain range and so on, most MMORPG like WOW EQ1 and EQ2 dont have realistic mountains and lanscape, i do think SOG/DNL has that.

I just whant to say, this game is not first to realese a "alfa" version of a so called finish game, anyone heard of ww2online back in 2001?

If you have heard of ww2online then you should know when that game was realesed it was so buggy and so ugly and basicly unplyable for many months, but still in 2005 soon 2006 its still live, and have many thousand players and more are incoming.

So do not judge SOG/DNL so quickly.

And one more thing, im glad that some people will not play SOG becuse it will be less lagg and less flames in chatbar, and all those WOW fanbase that thinks WOW are MMORPGs holy graal.

If it's not broken, you are not innovating.

    There's a few problems though.

1.) WWIIO was a unique game, there aren't any other WWII/common era war MMORPGs out there. Also remember, for the first six months it was so bad they couldn't charge for it. Do you think Farlan can do that? Also, for as nice as it's apparently become, how many people are playing it? Not as many that play Battlefield 2, Call of Duty, Day of Defeat or any of the other endless WWII/combat type games I bet. You even had to ask, "ever heard of". :)

2.) DDO is another MMOG that comes out in 6 months like DnL is supposed to. Compare that level of quality after two years of development with DnL's quality after four.

There's simply too many fantasy based MMORPGs/MMOGs out there for DnL to be anything less than superb and expect to have much success. The main question is, does Farlan have the resources and dedication to stay in for the long haul, or will they abandon it all like EA did to Earth and Beyond, by removing the dev team from the game right after launch?

I still have some hope for DnL, but all the hype is still just that, we haven't been delivered anything at all close to what's been advertised as being "DnL" and nothing to indicate that if this is what we have after four years, that they'll be able to fix the remaining problems in 4 months.
