Looking for a few specific MMORPG's

SabbertronSabbertron Member Posts: 2

I'm looking for an MMO to play with my best friend. She isn't looking for anything specific besides "fun." She said she wanted to be able to move around freely, so nothing like those tank games or something

Things I'm looking for (that aren't all necessary)

- Not super high resolution (one that has a high one as standard is okay, but if i can't lower it, no.)

- Laptop friendly. ^^ I have 6gb of RAM. I had about 30fps playing skyrim, and that had no other people

- Not super super popular, looking for a less popular game (so servers are less packed)

- NO GENDER SPECIFIC CLASSES

- None of those ones where you can switch your class in the game. that confuses me. I like sticking to one kind

- If there are any other being kind of games, i'd love that. I hate always being a human-like figure

- ^^That said, I hate plane games or things like that. I want to be a being, not a mode of transport

- Possibly being able to fly? That's always fun.

If you can think of any games that are quite like this, I'd love to hear

(I've played MapleStory, Runescape, LoL, Dragon's Prophet, LaTale. So none of those.)

All opinions are appreciated.

You might want to look into Vanguard: Saga of Heroes

It is pretty easy to pick up. There is a plethora of classes and races (no gender locks). It is not system requirement intensive. I wouldn't call it packed by any means.

There is flying mounts, there is player housing. There is a lot of exploration and moving about to do.

In fact it has been a while since I've played it, I mgiht jump back into it myself.

Can't help but chuckle at the lack of response this question has gotten.  I'm not sure that mmo players are actually in it for the "fun" LOL.  In any case I suggest Everquest 2.  Lots to see and do and Windstalker won't steer you wrong.  Plus EQ2 still has roleplayers in it, and there is nothing more capable of producing more fun than a crazy assed roleplayer.  Half the stuff they come up with is worth the price of admission alone.

considering your limitations and interests EQ2 is a solid choice.

One could be called finite, the other infinite.
A finite game is played for the purpose of winning,
an infinite game for the purpose of continuing play."

You might have more luck in the LFG (Looking For Game) forum. Not sure though as I haven't been in there for a while.

Edit: To answer your question - I agree with the poster below me. As much as WoW is not for me (not for years anyway) for a new player it is a rich environment. For community, even with the FTP crowd, I recommend Lord of the Rings Online.

EQ2, even today, is quite demanding concerning computer power...

To be honest, I would recommend World of Warcraft. For someone who never played, that game is HUGE and has a lot to discover. And it has flying mounts too. You can try the game 100% free up to level 20.

EDIT: LOTRO doesn't have flying mounts, and its combat is quite sub par compared to WoW. Also, in LOTRO, all races are humanoid (humans, short humans, shorter humans, tall humans with pointy ears...).

My computer is better than yours.

besides lotro/wow/eq2, which are kind of same type of mmorpg, you can also for "fun" look into game like free realms or wizard 101
