Um yeah, registering an account, really.

So I go to Square Enix, buy a digital download. Jump through all the hoops, launcher is ready, so I launch. A window comes up close all background apps, so I do. I then put in all my account info for log in, and nada. So I look into it oh I need a square enix account I try to register with them, they say they sent an email out try back in 24 hours. Wow I have been buying digital games for years now, and the only group that does it right is steam.

It is such a let down going through it anywhere else. But it looks like I will be asking for a refund, after seeing the customer support in this matter. I really don't think it would be worth my time. I hope you guys that are still playing are having fun, but first impressions matter a lot to me.

    Your first impression hasn't even started yet. Yes, SE has a terrible sign up situation. We've been dealing with it for years, but it hasnt stopped the millions of people including me from signing up and ACTUALLY playing the game. You didnt even open the door, you just got to it and turned around. But whatever, you're missing out.

    Thanks Dmkano I will try mogstation for about a half hour, but I think it will be just more locked doors.

    And to the other guy I got to the door and it was locked, I payed for a key, I really don't think I am completely at fault here.

     

    update: So I worked around it, the company digital river who handles squares digital sales, does not send out any info like a receipt. If you put findmyorder in google digital river is the first to show. with that you can get all the info you need to finish account setup.

    I hope this helps someone.

    It's better now than it was in the FF XI days.. now THAT was garbage, the rego system back then.

    Your post is a little ironic. On one hand you admit that the registration has been horrible for years but instead of demanding that SE finally improves it, you blame the customers for wanting something more intuitive.
