GENERAL
Memberships have changed!
- We've removed Item restrictions from Free and Silver accounts.
- Permanent 10% Mount speed and 15% Coin Loot Bonus to Gold membership!
- Destiny of Velious expansion content is now free for everyone too!
Heroic characters can now be created! Answer the Hero's Call!
From now until Oct. 15, you can take part in our 1 FREE HEROIC CHARACTER 'Hero's Call' Offer. All existing accounts created prior to Sept. 22, 2013 will have access to 1 free Level 85 Heroic Character! All accounts created after Sept. 22, 2013 will get access to 1 free account per household. These free Heroic Characters will be unlocked permanently!
Beyond the Hero's Call free offer, we have several options available for Heroic Characters:
1) Try Before You Buy: This option offers one full level of play from Level 85 to 86 – which takes a typical player several hours – with 100 Alternate Advancement (AA) points to test out a class of your choice at a high level. The Free Trial includes a flying mount, armor, consumables, and a few restrictions.
2) New Heroic Character: A full Heroic Character can be purchased at Character Select or while playing as a Free Trial character. It includes level 85, 280 AAs, all items included in the Free Trial, and is unrestricted.
3) Upgrade Existing Character: The Upgrade option allows you to select any existing character at any level and upgrade it to a Heroic Character. All upgraded characters receive level 85 and are increased to 280 AAs, but not beyond. If you are above level 85 and have more than 280 AAs, you won't receive additional levels or points, but will get a bundle of items that includes the flying mount, armor, and consumables.

AGE OF DISCOVERY FEATURES & 280AA ITEM
Our “Age of Discovery” feature expansion may now be purchased as a bundle or a la carte in the 'Features' section of the Marketplace and include:
- Beastlord Class
- Mercenaries
- Tradeskill Apprentices
- Dungeon Maker
- Reforging
Also, an item called 'Untapped Achievements (280 AA)' that sets your character to 280 AAs will be available in our Services category and can be used as early as Level 10!

Under the trial version the character will be equipped in full Legendary quality gear which Holly states is “attuned to be appropriate for level 85.” Trial characters will have 100 Alternate Advancement (AA) points, a flying mount, 20 potions to use (health, mana and more), food and drink and ammo.

If you were looking to fast-track to level 85 on a Channeler when the class is introduced in the upcoming Tears of Veeshan expansion, you are out of luck. We just got word that the team is “a long way from allowing Channelers as Heroic Characters.”

Players have the opportunity to test drive a Heroic Character for one full level in order to see if that is the class they want to continue playing. And this free test run does not end with the free promotion; it will be available permanently. One word of advice though: This free trial is only available for newly created Heroic Characters, so if you are planning to bump up one of your existing toons, make sure it is the one you want; there is no going back.

The heroic upgrade shows on the Character select/create window. It will be a pair of green arrows next to your character name in the selection pane. If there's a free upgrade available, then the arrows will have the text "free" underneath.

3.After Oct. 15, the free Hero’s Call promotional offer goes away and both new accounts and existing accounts will not have access to the “One Free Heroic Character Hero’s Call” offer.
4.After the promotion ends on Oct. 15, all new or upgraded free Heroic Characters created from Oct. 1 to 15 will remain fully unlocked and won’t lose any functionality or features.

this just happened to me on Splitpaw with my lvl 85 Conj toon named Heppy. I selected him to be the heroic freebee.. all his master spells/abilities and his master lvl 77 pet has been reduced to adept. Just to let others know there is a problem.. spells pets that are already master should not have been reduced to adept IMO.. Eshaac
We have a fix that we are building and testing, right now. It will take some time before we can publish it to the Live/Production servers, however. I believe there is going to be an announcement of some sort about when the fix will be deployed there, but I do not personally have any ETA as of yet.
