I finally got into the game, but have crashed every time. I'll be strolling about, and the game will freeze, the graphics will turn to crap, and I have to reboot my machine to get out of this.
I have a Radeon X850 with the latest drivers.
Anyone else have issues like this?

I ahve p[layed this game on 2 pc.
1 nVIDIA fx5600xt 256MB AND A ati x850XT 256MB.
I keep getting the DnLg.exe when they actually started the server again on both PCs.
Starting to see the clouds hover on this game now....

My Sager 5760 Review
My game crashes to desktop after i play for 15-30 minutes with the dnlg.exe error. I have an x800
x850Pro here. I've been crashing a lot, during the few short hours the servers have remained online. The first time it did seem to be graphics related (ie, corrupted graphics followed by a crash or in one case a full system restart out of the blue) but nothing that seems to be triggering it. I've crashed with people around, while in combat, nearing combat, alone in the middle of nowhere, with high graphics, low graphics, on pet, off pet...
I think it's more of a case of bad programming and a very rough alpha type code base than anything specific to ATI cards. IRC is full of people with all kinds of cards crashing constantly.
... i made a post of this in another thread but
1. delete dnl.ini and dnl.cfg folder, then run the full integrity check
2. ingame right click on your compass and deselect roads
do this on your map (m) aswell
it fixed for me
?played: Nearly everything.

9800 256M card here, and it does it to me as well.
On another thread, someone posted that the admin in IRC said they were aware of the issue, and it is a memory leak they are trying to plug.
(Wouldn't his have come up in their beta testing??)
I've got an ATI 9600XT, but no crashing, except for when I leave the game (the game closes, as normal, then I get a generic windows crashing message).
I get like 4 fps, though...
Radeon 9800 Pro 128 here and no problems, apart from the crash when exiting the game as somebody has already mentioned. I get 15 to 25 fps in game graphics set high. I'm using Cat drivers 5.8, not the latest due to problems I get with the DAoC Darkness Rising client and the later cat drivers.

Radeon 9800 Pro and the game is crashing frequently. The Graphics are freezing and 5 secs later I ctd and get the dnlg.exe error. Neither deleting the dnl.ini file nor turning of roads etc on the map helped.
For some stupid reason they made the game in OpenGl (Prehistoric now). Ati cards don't like OpenGl that much. Nvidia performs much better in OpenGl. Not sure if this causes all the errors though.
game works ... but not very smoothly ;/ do someone know what can i do ?? becouse it works the same when i use 392 ram and when i use 512 it make it isn't ram fault
First of all I think SoG needs like 1 gig of ram to work smoothly. And secondly you could change the Gfx Drivers. It seems that DnL can handle older versions of the catalyst driver (ATI) - 4.9 for example - better than the latest version (which is 5.12 or something)
The biggest fps problem currently is the or those giant memory leaks. You just have to wait for them to fix it. It's pretty clear that you will have bad fps when the memory usage rises all the time and never stops. Not even a Nasa computer can calculate stuff if there are memory leaks.
I am running a radeon x600 with 256 mb with everything set to lowest and its horrible slow + i crash nonstop (the .ini .cfg file deletion helps when logging back in but still crashes every 10-45 min).
I can play HL2, FarCry etc etc with EVERYTHING set on max without a single hint of lag so something is terrible terrible wrong with SOG/DNL code....
Oh and lately (last 2 days) whenever game is about to crash or it has crashed i get SERIUS graphic errors, everything turns to giant pixel mish mash for a split second on and off...
That is the trouble we all have. You just have to wait for them to sort it out, or give the game up. I have found out though that the game doesn't crash if you leave all the other people behind. Go exploring somewhere alone and it won't crash. The problem is you can't do much besides exploring, all mobs are lvl 70+ so you won't be leveling. For "real" progress you have to be where all the other people are. And that's where it crashes
Phoenix is right. I went looking for place to hunt after I hit lvl ten. Didn't find a lot of mobs from 10 - 20, but I found a lot 30+ when I got out to the small islands and the mainland.
Only crashed with dnlg.exe error once when I was leaving the starting areas, and that was on a balloon. When I logged back in, I was at the balloon drop off point. I've hanglided, swam, ran, and snowboarded all over the place with crashes every hour or more, instead of every 20 minutes when in starting areas. Even grouped up to try to hunt the 30 critters.
So it's something to do with heavy congestion....they'll probably figure it out in Jan.
