It would probably be useful if you put up a budget that you'd like to stay within but I'd imagine your planning on buying a ready made system so you might want to check the usual suspects.

Falcon-Northwest: IMO, probably the best high end gaming rig people in the world. Pricy but you get what you pay for, I know thats usually tright but in this case it's extremely true. My boyfriend owns a fragbox and it's beyond wild.

Monarch Computing: Monarch is really hit or miss, alot of the time you hit but sometimes it's a big miss, a miss being a gonker of a system that never seems to reallly pull itself together. That being said, most of the time they put together good systems and the prices are decent too, lots of good sales it seems like right now.

Frozen CPU: Now these guys are awesome, lots of custom work and done really really well, I ordered my custom case from them and full wirring system. The prices are a little up there but so worth it, if you have it to spend of course.

If after all that you feel you want to put a rig together yourself, which is what I would suggest you do as you can save some serious money, let us know and I'm sure we'll try to help the best we can.

    Hope this helps.

i want to spend around a grand, ill go up to 1500 though. I thought about building my own but ive built it all up out of parts from newegg and it didnt seem to be that much cheaper. Is there a cheaper place to get all the parts at?

Building yourself most often cost a bit more and very seldom less then a brand computer. Its also a bit more risky.

However, when you build yourself you get to buy known brand parts. Thats why it costs a bit extra, but its also why it will be easier to find drivers...

xminator - You are so wrong, I can't believe it. 8]

Building your own computer can save 100's of dollars.  If you want a high end system can save even more.

I have built over 50 computers using www.pricewatch.com.  As an example, a year ago I built myself a new box for about $2000 and the same specs from Dell were over $3500.

I did some upgrades to my wife's system in Oct, cpu, motherboard, ram, video for about 800.  A new system would have cost her over $2500 with the same equipment.

The best part of building a system is you get to pick all the best components.  You don't have to rely on a company to build the system that is willing to cut corners to save money which causes the consumer to receive a computer without the best parts.

I would not recommend to someone building their own system unless they understand what they are getting into.

All those sites are great, but the best one I have come across (yes I have seen those) is www.newegg.com   That has porbably everything you'll need at great prices.  With 1500 you'll be able to build a nice computer.  Though I would recommend toughing it out and getting about 1800 so you can get stable graphics card and a awesome cpu.

Newegg is one site.  Pricewatch is a compilation of many sites, newegg included.  I actually prefer the site Zipzoomfly.com, which use to be known as googlegear.

Ive only used Newegg, so I cant say they are the best but I have spent well over $1000 there. You can trust them, and one thing I can say is that they have like the best shipping out there, in most cases. If you can build your PC yourself, I would go that route, otherwise Shae listed some great places. Good luck, and if you get an Athlon X2 then I will hate you =p

go to alienware.com and configure a bot desktop for a very low price. i just did and only spent 800 bucks and can run eq2 perfectly on medium.
