Reason I'm not resubbing

Because there is nothing to do at 50 besides re-level another class doing essentially the same quest.

It's that simple.  The story wasn't bad, the game looks great, the dungeons were OK*  but once you hit 50 the game sucks.  There is literally nothing to do with your lvl 50 besides grind the same two dungeons over and over.  It takes 76 runs of the two basic end game dungeons to get enough gear to move up to the next dungeon.

There is nothing else to do at 50 combat wise with your level 50.

On another note the way they made bosses difficult in this game was kind of a let down in my opinion.  You basically have two types:

Type 1: Low HP, LOW damage, but tons of adds

Type 2: Lots of HP and massive damage move.

Sure there were some real basic mechanics, dodge left, dodge right, etc.  But the difficulty on all bosses seemed to essentially be based on the two types above.  I dunno, maybe I'll return at some point in time, but for now this game badly lacks content.

Personally I'm hoping for housing to be good. If it has half the stuff EQ2 housing has I will be in heaven. The world is gorgeous and I want to obtain trophies for my abode.

Something like this would have probably pushed me to resub as it would have kept me busy.

At this point though I just can't find it in me to level another class.  I wanted to enjoy my lvl 50, but found that to be impossible as grinding gear is terrible.

I never bought the game, played in the Betas and that decided my choice. Always nice to get to try before you buy. :)

    Saved me some money.

The game wasn't awful, to me it was worth the 30.00.  Just not worth resub and the time to re-run the same couple dungeons, which really are not that great the first time.

Let's be honest:  Most games rarely have enough initial content to keep people interested.  It is all a matter of your playstyle and preferences.

    Raquelis in various games
    Played: Everything
    Playing: Nioh 2, Civ6
    Wants: The World
Anticipating: Everquest Next Crowfall, Pantheon, Elden Ring

Tank - Healer - Support: The REAL Trinity

I mostly Agree with the OP. But i honestly believe that with maybe one ore two more top end dungeons, some pvp of some sort, and making crafting even remotely worth leveling up, make some gear worth crafting at max level that is on par with stuff you can buy with tokens, that the game would have considerably more staying power and would probably not lose so many people's attention so fast.

It's a shame the endgame is going to put a lot of people off because it didn't ship with patch 2.1

Patch 2.1 seems to have an appropriate amount of content such that you have variety in what you want to do at endgame.

For those leaving due to lack of endgame content as the main reason, it'd probably be worth coming back for 2.1 and seeing if that does the trick.   From the features list of 2.1, it would seem that it does.

I've been playing since the game launched and I have yet to reach the endgame. What happens when you try to lv several classes at the same time.

I'm in no rush to reach the endgame really. One thing I've learned from many MMOs is that endgame actually means end of the game. I'm having fun running several low lv dungeons with different classes, sometimes a tank, a DPS or a healer. Good time with my crafting classes too.

seriously ? housing  ?   Never really understood why people like housing in theme parks .

I loved houses in SWG and UO  because they were sandboxes but in a theme park I just don't see the point of houses , it takes players away from the game   i.e  dungeons + fates .

For me to resub they would need to firstly fix dps issues with not being able to get group.  EASY FIX , allow 3 -4 dps per group  1 healer 1 tank .   If still issue 5 dps .   That will clear the backlog of dps much faster . That would mean they need 4-6 man light parties.

Fix gil spam , or at least make it so its simple right click blacklist ,   unlimited blacklist size .  And make it so people cant spam in chat period to avoid latency from spam at least .

Apart from that the game is quit good , there are some minor things like  stun on my pally is not instant cast . If I use an attack I have to wait around 2.5 seconds before I can actually stun something ,  most of the time I fail stun unless I predict the future and wait for stun  but then dps get even more threat and I lose agro ,       so make some reactive abilities instant use.

what is with housing? Do you have company come over for coffee or something? Do you have a pool guy?

You are probably to young to remember the awesomeness of UOs housing!  It can be a safe haven to store your items and gear, craft, sell items, congregate, and upgrade just like you would do with the items you wear on your back. It helps promote what the genre is slowly fading away from, and that is role playing.

edit: I looked at your profile and I am sorry that I said you may be to young. Perhaps I should have said you may never have played UO! :)
