Sorry for posting another topic about character custimization, but from all the screens ive seen... Every one looks the same!!! This is really putting me down, so can someone clarify for me that not everyone will look the same, like in say Guild Wars. (which is a good game)

There are some character customizations, ie Hair, ear size, height, color eyes.
From the start of the game, yes, the majority of players will look awfully similar. Its when you reach the teens you'll notice differences. When you hit 30, is the more dramatic changes you'll notice. And again at 40. Then finally, 50.

This siggy is CGI that my cousin made in 4 hours.
This was one of my biggest gripes with games like L2, they gave you a very hard set boundry of rules on how everyone can look and although you differ yourself over time with armor, weapons and the like, you never really feel a personal connection to the character because it hardly took any thought during the creation process.
Now alot of thats just me, I'm a nut when it comes to character creation, often taking hours to get my character "just right" in games like SWG, EQ2 and MxO. Not that it would be enough to keep me away from this game but it would be nice for them to come with a few extra models to keep the CC freaks like me happy.

i was looking at some screenshots from those playing the korean beta, and will there only be like 1 tier of armor for each 10 levels or so?
or is it like hundreds of different pieces of armor u mix and match for original character customization?
mmm if its gonna be like L2 & other mmo, even when there's a lot of diff armor choices as you advance in lvls, you'll all end up looking the same anyway. Cuz if you're not dumb, you'll find out soon that you want that top best or second best armor.
However, the armor in this game looks pretty badass anyway.

RFOnline has incredible looking armour, but they had to make a line between CC/Lag, think about it, your in a mine war, and everyone varies in appearence, that means an insane amount of models for your pc to load, especially with CM saying some wars can be 1000+ player plus.
In my view keep the variation down and let the game focus on its target, the best pvp mmo to date.
p.s people moaning about everyone will look the same, look at 90% of the MMO's out there, and there tends to be a better build of armour, FFXI = AF armour, WoW = BWL tier 2 set, etc etc
its true, even with a million different sets to choose from, one set will end up emerging as the best for each class, and everyone looks more or less the same. even so, most MMOs just reskin or recolor of the same armor more than once when playing WoW, ive gotten a new chest piece, only to discover that it was the same chest piece, only GREEN! The nice thing is that theres a wide variety betwen classes and races for the armor you get, which is cool. It looks like RF went with quality over quantity when looking at the screenshots of all the different armor sets, even the lvl 2 sets look cool, and by the time you reach 50 you look rediculously awesome. I just hope they have a color customizer or emblem loader, which would make people look pretty different without too much effort. Maybe you could choose a color set in the beginning of the game which all your gear would be themed toward, that would rock.

Important Information regarding Posting and You
The reason that character creation usually is sub par in Asian-developed MMOs isn't because it's something they decide to skimp on. I actually read somewhere that body, facial and hair customisation is kept to a minimum in order to preserve the trademark anime look the characters have in these games.

But im pretty sure every mmo player in america loves CC, and i really love it!!!
well another reason they might not have body custimization is because as you level up and fight monsters u get new armor so it would be sort of pointless, but as far as body custimization goes we should be able to pick beginning colors and do a little bit on body. But we should be able to do wutever we prefer on the rest of the character.
just my opinion.
