First, will there be more Pangaea stock, such as new things specifically made for that purpose, or older, retired Store items? It's lovely to have so many additions to the Store, but it is also the only way to get something new, meaning it is a bit expensive to have all the latest fashion.
Second, will we ever have motorcycles and such that we could use throughout the world? (As in Fallen Earth, for example)
(Erased two as they were already answered above while I wrote this )
I was wondering if you plan to do anything about the growing disparity between Leech type healers and more traditional healers such as Blood and Fists? I was very hopeful Augments would address this situation but after looking at the augments list it appears Leech Healing has the potential to become quite a bit stronger then it already is, meanwhile traditional healing types seem to gain very little to boost their respective style of play. Thanks!
Any chance that we will be able to replay the missions that gained us the initial three aux weapons? Would really like to be able to specialize those for multiple roles
1: Is there any particular reason Funcom isn't yet selling cosmetic weapon skins in the item store? Seems like a good source of revenue, and there isn't a lot of variety in weapon skins at the moment.
2: Any hints on what the lore behind revenants might be? They don't seem to be connected to the Filth, but they're definitely very evil and terrifying.
THE SECRET WORLD - PAY ONCE PLAY FOREVER - Give it a go!
oh yeah i am also interested in the rumors of Cabal housing, i was hoping it would be something interesting with lost of differant themes and designs that all Cabals could enjoy without giving an huge advantage to larger Guilds like other games do! my cabal is a small Role Playing guild still growing and would love to have a hangout anything planned on that soon?
Are there any plans to make a bigger "open world" typ PvP zone or alter the existing ones in a way that "undergeared" Players (blue 10 for example) can have a role beyond being 1 hit target practice dummies? Just leeching your way up somehow to eventually get some gear is not most peoples notion of fun I would think.
The answer is covered there but the short version is no, we are going to focus on PvP bugs first and foremost.

How are the Development Team now they are finally moved to the US? Are they well and in good spirits? Pass on our good wishes to them and rom a players perspective has production increased now to a level you are happy with?
The dev team are settled in and enjoying NC. Production speed...I'm not sure I will ever be happy with it. As it is we have a lot to chew on. Whispering Tide, Tokyo, issue #8, Halloween, Conan updates, AO e.t.c
I wish I had 15 times the people. But development is speeding up again. I think once we get the current events off our plate and all of the new systems for Scenarios, Augments and the yet to be revealed Tokyo progression, we'll speed up even more.

Q1: how many writers are involved in writing the Issues and the side missions in TSW?
Q2:will you have further towns like kingsmouth in the future or introduce new Countries after tokyo = brazil?
Q3: weve seen zombies, giant Bugs, filth, and ghosts, will we see new outbreaks after tokyo?
Q4: how will pvp become more appealing to the pve players in the future?
Q5: will we get a 'steampunk' eye patch in the item shop anytime soon?
1 - Right now there are two writers.
2 - We'll have more locations in the future, but probably very different thematically to Kingsmouth. And yes, South America is on the list, but where exactly I won't say
3 - Depends on how well you handle the filth. There are new monsters in Tokyo itself, of course.
4 - See the above linked PvP post.
5 - Maybe. Perhaps you guys need to uncover more 3rd age stuff first eh?

With Tokyo on the horizon, and the augment system almost in place, where do you see Augments being first utilized? Is this something you should have a completed ability wheel for, or is this system implemented for lower QLs as well?
Can we please have an update on the status and current proposed functionality of the ever hinted at Bestiary and their powers? Many achievement hunters want to know!
Will an achievements forum ever be added on the main forums?
What is the Data Vault Access that you supposedly unlock when you get Faction Level 13?
Thank you for taking the time to respond to these.
1 - Firstly, you misunderstand what the choice was and who you were speaking to. Secondly, there is no good or evil path in TSW.
2 - Augments are for players who are at the endgame and are looking to tweak their builds more. You can slot augments earlier, but the other progression systems are there to keep you busy before the endgame.
3 - Ah the bestiary. Still on hold until we have time to look into it. It sounds good on paper but it is a lot more work than we have time for right now.
4 - I can check. Can't be that hard!
5 - It's for the puzzle raids which will one day come!

Thanks for taking the time to do this! Development-wise, what are some of the technical lessons you'll take away from Tokyo in the design of future playfields?
I think in general a large urban landscape with a huge amount of unique assets creates a lot of additional work for the art team. Tokyo is by far the most expensive playfield Funcom has created in any of their games ever, just in terms of sheer assets.
The next location after Tokyo won't be a city, that is for sure!

Probably not, we wrote that text for side missions so we didn't have to go back a redo everything later. The writers have limited time and there is a lot of work to do each patch.

Are there plans to review the myriad (or plethora) of nealry worthless signets and begin tweaking them so they have some in game value?
How about the many abilities that have little or no value in "approved" builds useful in NM groups?
I am looking forward to what comes next in our crusade (Templars win) against the Filth incursion...
1 - Things are always under constant review by the systems team.
2 - That is personal preference. As we tweak and balance abilites, things will become more or less useful. However, you don't build/balance an entire game around the % of people who play nightmare dungeons.
3 - Good luck with that!

Question1: Issue 8 with Augmentation will be out soon. Can you be more specific on what will be free, what will be paid on Issue 8 ? It seems 1 scenario will be free for all (if i remember well). Does this means that Augmentation will also be free and we'll get the other 2 scenarios buying Issue 8 or does it mean that 1 scenario is included with the Issue 8 cost and the other 2 should be bought separately?
Question2: A clarification on Augmentation abilities. How the link between augmentation and abilities will be done? It's possible to link a single augmentation to more then 1 abilities or 1 augmentation can only go on a single ability? It's possible to change augmentation linked to abilities on the fly?
Thanks
1- One Scenario will be free. Augments are free, but if you only run one scenario with cooldown you will be at a disadvantage for drop rates. Issue #8 is a bundle of scenarios and the story mission.
2 - 1 Augment per ability. Done in the augment bar which sits above the active bar. You can change between combat, like with normal abilities.

First, thanks for all the hard work you & the dev team do to make TSW as awesome as it is and thanks for doing this AMA.
Q- TSW is currently doing some merchandising with clothing / hoodies / posters w/ WeLoveFine (which are fantastic, btw).
Has there been any talk or any plans of expanding TSW merchandise through action figures, books, etc?
Nothing concrete. We're always interested though if anyone reaches out to us.

My biggest question, mechanics wise, would be if there are plans to ever implement faction defection? (Switching from Dragon to Illuminati, or Templar to Dragon, etc) I was a huge fan of City of Heroes' alignment system and thought that would be a great tool for the Secret World. A series of missions to either defect to another faction, or to reinforce your standing with your current faction, potentially for a new rank, or outfit. I know that at times, other factions will contact you, although sparingly. Are there any plans for something along these lines?
Thanks!
No, we don't plan to allow this for now.

and can a higher level player be scaled down to group up with a less experienced player?
Q7: since the success with the train and snowmobile in the past issues will we see perhaps bicycles or scooters permanatntly be introduced after tokyo ?
6 - We won't ever make the story missions group enabled, but we are avoiding solo instances as much as we can in the future.
7- Probably never in the way that they exist in other games, but we have a lot of cool ideas for where to take those systems we introduced in Issue #7. Tokyo will utilize them to some extent.

Also the New Mission was sorta weird, thanks in forehand! Good Job with the game keep refreshing time to time )
I'm sorry but I am not talking about time frames.
Originally posted by RattoZatto As far as I've seen with all the news about Issue 8, I've noticed a lack of anything about a new Auxiliary weapon. Is Issue #8 not going to have one?
Do the "bees" fix all the problems a player character comes across, and is that limited to purely physical problems? Does it also inclue pre-existing conditions? (ie, if you get a minor cut, will it animagically go away? If you had a gimp leg before getting chosen, would that now be perfectly fine, or would that be your baseline for bee-healing? Would you just not be chosen if you had a gimp leg beforehand?)
Related to the above, but if Anima/Emma hadn't been around when we got kneecapped, would our own beestuff have fixed us? Up to that point it was pretty much assumed that it could fix anything that ailed us, and the cutscene made it seem like a big deal that a new spec of anima came over to help us out.
Can "bees" actually die, and what would be required to make that happen?
Can we get a pet Scrivnomancer?
They don't fix everything and they def have weaknesses of their own (special smoke for example, as revealed in issue #6).
You are healed when you are bee touched in the beginning, so many preexisting conditions would be cured.
It's really hard to say what would happen if your legs had been removed from your body and burned...they likely would not have just grown back.
Do you have intention of creating new scenario (or mission for scenario) after the release of Issue 8 and release them with some timeframe in the shop? It will be really nice to have new scenario to do every now and then...
The last two issues rewarded 10.1 custom talismans, and the last events have rewarded Black Bullion. Can we expect to see this trend continue into Tokyo?
Any chance there will be another live stream?
What has been the most personally rewarding content you have created for TSW?
Are there plans to expand the chronicle? Additional leader boards for PvP, global firsts, event rewards, etc.
Love the game! Thank you for your hard work!
No current plans to progress gear past 10.5. Instead we have two more paths of advancement we are pursuing, Augments and another to be revealed for Tokyo.
Somewhat. We want to increase the ability to get gear for the more casual players and we will provide more avenues for the hardcore players to get gear as well. However, don't expect every mission in Tokyo to hand out 10.1 purples.

Siren's Song was given to someone in the community by the Audio Director, should be able to download it somewhere.

Hi and thanks for taking time to answer all these questions!
As someone already asked previously in this thread, however not answered, will there be any performance tweaks? There are several players who experience FPS stutter, which started to happen for several issues ago. The FPS stutter/lag occour when one is to enter PvP or dungeon instances, often when DX11 is on, and also often with windows 8.
Is this to be adressed? I myself have not been able to play since this happened as it is a loss having to play with DX9.
Any chance you can tease us with something more about the Dragon in Tokyo to send the fans into a foaming-frenzy?
As much as I love doing it...nah.
There are three "mini factions" in Tokyo. Players will need to work with all three.
