WOOT! Blizzcon

Well it’s less than 4 weeks away and I feel this year’s blizzcon will be darn sight more interesting than last years.

What we’ll almost certainly see is;

  • The next WoW expansion
  • More Details on the D3 expansion

What we might see;

  • Details about the SC2 expansion
  • Announce Hearthstone open beta and tournament play mode
  • Blizzard All-stars

What I hope we see;

  • Details on Titan even if it’s the stuff they scraped, be good to have a panel or two with devs discussing what went wrong

    I thought the rumor was that WoW was done after this expansion, and they were working on something with Activision?

    Lol, someone was pulling your leg. Blizz is still going with numbers that dwarf everybody else. The last "leaked" five year plan has two more expansions already planned. Activision also has a major online game (not using the word MMO) coming next year with Destiny that looks really sharp as well.

    If I remember correctly, Blizzard themselves announced a joint "secret" project with Activision right after the merger and hinted towards an MMORPG. The Cataclysm expansion was coming out soon, and the Panda expansion was leaked...and there were many saying that those two were the last in store for WoW. It made sense from their innuendo about a joint MMO project with Activision.

    Doesn't shock me if this is wrong or they changed their mind, judging from how many still play.

    I really wouldn't be suprised if they decided to start shelving WoW and work on getting a new flagship MMO out which will takes several years if not more.  WoW is very dated now and the competition will be fierce with EQN, WS, Star Citizen, and whatever else is coming out.  Not to mention only they know the true state of the game as all the numbers they provide to the public are inflated as much as possible.  The fact is there that WoW is steadily declining, I'm sure some "analyist" has projected the life span of WoW with the minimum profit they expect to generate.

    I'm sure WoW is still a great success and a great revenue source but they eventually they will need to get a new flagship MMO out there and that time is soon I reckon.  Soon as in several years ahead.

    Considering there was no Blizzcon last year I have to agree this year's Blizzcon will be superior.

    What we will see/hear about:

    1. WoW expansion and future plans. Beta date.

    2.  D3 expansion release date. Closed beta start.

    3. Unannounced new project.

    4. Hearthstone open beta start starting day 1 of Blizzcon.
