No. I am playing Rift these days and it offers housing, PVP and a lot more PVE content in F2P model.

Didn't even subscribe a month besides the 3 weeks or so free they gave to original owners.
Game was fun, but what turned me away is the lack of character customization, wardrobe customization, and no unlimited character edits like face, or hai changes.
Housing System sucked.
Also sucked I have to do a quest to get access to a market in game.
These are the main game-play reasons I will not be playing FFXIV until they develop it better even by then something else will likely be better than FFXIV by the time they ever make these changes.
I've not one shot Caduceus and ADS back-to-back and I haven't managed to pass Turn 4. I don't have full ilevel 90 healer gear. I don't have a level 50 scholar/white mage/black mage. I don't have all DoL jobs at 50.
Plenty to do.
Also, there is a prepaid option.

You are such a liar! Housing system isn't implemented yet and yet it sucks. You are ridiculous.
I was a returning 1.0 player. I must say, I had more fun with 1.0 than ARR. Glad alot of people are enjoying ARR, but its just not for me. Too much Final, not enough Fantasy.

Interesting comment, what did you like about 1.0 better? I'm not sure what too much "Final" and not enough "Fantasy" is supposed to mean.
Yes. I still feel like there is plenty to do. I posted on another thread about still having things to do:
"I still have alot of things to do while waiting for the next round of content. Currently doing BC Turn 3 and leveling my rank 5 attacker chocobo with level 35 SCH and SMN. When not doing that I'll run CM, Prae, AK, WP or help fc members / farm primals and kill FATE primals. Getting chocobo to rank 10 will take some time, hopefully they will introduce chocobo breeding soon and the announced content even sooner."
Not to mention all of the other crafting jobs i need to level while fine tuning my main crafting job. Even creating new fancy macros is fun imo. Having a blast so far, can't wait for more content to arrive.
1.0 was more a "people working together" type game to me. With ARR it seems to have turned into a Zerg fest of quickly running fates and doing things as quickly as possible, getting to end game (final) as quickly as possible and little to none exploring and enjoying the game (fantasy). I loved what they did with the looks of the world and improving combat, but with 1.0 it was more about people having fun and doing stuff together that had impact. Like gathering mats for someone who was heavy into crafting or vice versa, crafting for your friends / Linkshell buddies. Maybe its just me, but I'm getting more out of GTA online and flinging friends in boats from my Cargo Bob (into water, not killing them) than I was in ARR. I guess its just the simple things that I feel are missing and it may be just me, but that is just how I felt while playing.

Yeah my wife and I did the six month deal. With the way we play and what we enjoy, there's always something fun to do.
You are still talking about the game?
