ah one more question.how is death dealed with?like whats the penalty?loss of items loss of xp or what.and do you just go back to like a bindpoint or something different?
When you die you lose 10% of the total exp required to get to the next level. You can choose to go to your homepoint (bind point) or wait up to an hour for somebody to raise you. If you are raised with Raise I you get 25% of your lost exp back.
argh i hate when i post then right after i send it i remember something.ok well heres one more question.can you have 2 advanced jobs at the same time?like say i want to be a ninja/samurai.could i do that?

the reason they added the random server thing is they dont want any server to get to large i guess? but this does make it hard to get a guild together.

A guild would be kewl not I guild would be kewl sry! Oh Samusic, say u are a hume, do u have to start off in Bastok or can u go to windurst or somthing???
this is just a repost from another thread.. figured the other one was quite dead.
Hey Samusic,
Don't mean to bug ya with a dumb question, which may have been answered multiple times.. but nevertheless i'm trying to understand things right so as not to get disappointed down the road of playing.
But anyway, I was hoping to start out as a Redmage and later on get Samurai as my main class and keep redmage as my support class.
I was just curious if that would work.. and if not, what is the best support class for a samurai, i'm figuring it probably is monk.. but i'm not 100% sure.
Well, with a mage support job and a non mage main job you won't have a whole lot of MP to cast at all. Regarding support jobs, there are are no best jobs. There are jobs that work best for you, jobs that don't, jobs that work well, and jobs that don't. There is no magical, super duper combination. It depends on which traits you want to emphasize.

right, but the low magic aspect probably is the key.. so basically if you want to go a melee type either go all out as in warrior or monk i guess if you want samurai. which would make sense i guess. But it would be nice to have some basic magic skills if you want to solo once in awhile. if soloing is even concevable?
Samusic, a quick question. If i become part of a nation just to get the special ring, can i later join a different nation? is their something i hafta do to join?

Here's a few questions about character creation and servers:
Does it cost $1 if we del a char and make a new one?
Does recreating a character just put you back on the same server you were just at?
I guess what I'm getting at is... can we keep deleting chars until we get to the server we want at no extra charge?
