Fans of Black Desert who are looking for all that they can discover about the forthcoming game, will want to check out Steparu.com's beta preview featuring a look at at both PvP and GvG. Black Desert is currently in beta testing in Korea.
For beta testing purposes the GvG session lasted for three hours long. During this time, the first Guild to take over the castle wins. How does a guild take over a castle? Right when the event started, all the guilds started attacking each other outside the safety zone in town and on the way to the castle, it was very hectic. After reaching the castle, your guild must break down the first door. Then destroy the 2nd inner door within the castle. Once those two doors are down, you just charge in and rush the statue that has a ton of HP. The first guild that destroys the statue will obtain the castle. After a guild succesfully takes over the castle, other players that are not in that guild or alliance will automatically get kicked out of the castle instantly spawning them in town. The castle doors will respawn and from here on out, they will have to defend until the event time is over.

Looked fine until about 2.5 min mark, then just complete calamity and deafening blast effects. Owww I think I feel a headache coming on after watching that ....
Been waiting a long time for this game ^_^ Really excited. What caught my eye as well though from another review steparu did on it is the fact death has some hardcore penalties with it.
Dying = random items drop from you. That makes the game much more desirable as you actually have to watch your health and use dodge to kill things.
I know what you mean, but I think this is something many many gamers have been looking for. Look at shroud of the avatar for example. They announced loot won't drop on death and many got angry. This game has loot drop (not sure about pvp loot drop, but I have a feeling there is due to what steparu mentioned).
It also comes with a lot of basics people were missing in old MMO such as player housing right out of launch which is not instanced zoning. The interior might be? It doesn't look instanced on the inside, but the house itself exists in the cities. Every house in the city is purchasable. You can even set them up similar to Star wars Galaxies to sell items for your trade.
The combat looks fluid and hybrid aim/lock very much like neverwinter, which fulfills the people getting tired of tab target systems.
Parkour system is also included, always a plus.
The best part is, the dev team is making the game with the western gamers in mind. They want to market this game to us just as much as they do to Korea. You can even see this on their official facebook where they constantly communicate with the community.
So yeah, I have a lot of hope for this game, hopefully it does much better than lineage. Personally, I love the castle seige GvG as well. Can't wait!!
feels.. korean
I hope you can tone down the graphical effects or turn them off altogether. I'm so tired of having to look at nothing but an epileptic blast of colours all over the screen whenever there is a combat involving more than 10 players.
GW2 mass combats are messed up because of this.
But then again, it doesn't really matter. This game will not be anywhere close to being relevant when/if it finally launches in the west. ArcheAge syndrome.
