For my own curiosity. Yes I know that these forums in no way represent a true and accurate percentage of the FFXIV player base. Just for shits and grins.
Just because I'm a gamer doesn't mean I drive a Honda.
nope. I like the game and i plan to sub in the future, but right now i dont feel like subbing just to do crafting. Maybe if they fix the flaws that drove me away (water content?, GCD, more job combinations, remove forcing a single role to each class) i can comeback sooner.

water content? - not seen a single FF MMO that has this, indeed any MMO that has this at 'launch' heck closest thing I can think of is Vanguard where you had deep see fishing and could buy boats.
GCD- Whats the issue with GCD?
more job combinations - considering the game already does something most other MMOs do not let you do (Freely change classes while playing) I am happy with current classes, plus adding more classes is a fair whack of work, ensure skills are not OP, ensure quest storyline is complete and then adding in the additional gear for that class. They will do it at some point, just not right away, heck even FFXI added new jobs with each expansion.
remove forcing a single role to each class - Erm every MMO does this... why single out FFXIV for this? Follow the Holy Trinity.... TBH in this game I have BLM tanking as MRD tanked quite badly, heck do the Manor with two BLM and me as healer, worked fine.
I've subbed. I'm enjoying the game and having fun but it takes me ages to level up. I've been playing since early access and my highest level class is still lvl 28. It will be a few more months before i hit 50.

I am in same boat, played 1.0 so had a 45 from that, since ARR launched my play time has been varied (due to new baby) and I am more than happy with my pace of advancement
I chose the 3 months but I did actually get the 180 day plan.
So far I have 50 Bard, 50 Fisherman, 50 Botanist, 50 Miner, 50 Goldsmith. The crafters are all above 20 but my DoW/DoM are all in the teens or twenties so plenty of grind left to it.
I'm enjoying the game but I'm sure once my crafters are all 50 my interest MAY wane but with housing and more instances on the way I'm sure I'll keep entertained for a good while. It also helps my guild has upwards of 60 or 70 active players.
yea i bought the collectors edition when it first launched and havent bothered to try it again since it's relaunch. mostly because i lost my security key and they def made it a hastle to try and get access back to my own account, even when i called them.

FATE grind in a party with people . Level 25+ Casa Del Sol level 30 ~ 40 Dragonhead 40~50 North Thanlan Camp Bluefog area and north to Processing Plant . You will hit 50 in less then a week if you spend 5 hours a day doing it

Thanks for the advice, but why would I want to do that ? It doesn't sound remotely like anything I would enjoy doing.
I mess around doing unfocused things in a very unstructured way, because I like playing in the FFXIV game world. As a side-effect of all this, I'll probably reach L50 one day, but "reaching level-cap" is not my goal in this (or any other) MMO.
I enjoy the journey just as much as I enjoy reaching the final (?) destination. In fact, I suspect I might enjoy the journey more...
There are things i realy love about this game. Dungeon runs is one of em. Totaly shit xp, but omg how fun. It's my preferd way to level my character.
Sadly i experience the aoe lag issue. I do not count in the cast time animation lag as that is for everyone. But even if i move out of the way befor cast time is done i get hit. This is a realy nasty bug/delay for tanks and im afraid this prevent me to play tank endgame.
This game would be better and i would recomend it to friends if it did not have this issue. I know everyone do not have this as i can clearly see this ingame. But as it stand i can not recomend this game to friends.
Wife and I both subbed for 1 month as we only plan on playing 1 char and 1 char is as cheap as the 6 months option. As far as a new MMO goes, FF14 is top quality. Sure it need some things fixed and added but for where it is, its as good as any top dog MMO I have played at launch.

1.) Lack fo customization can't have freedom to freely change character appearance with my subscription have to pay extra, only one free time granted it is stupid.
Still subscribed and just got the 'black choco chick' apparently it can't fly.. but i can imagine all these pets are probably interesting for some, never really got into the whole pet collection thing. Don't really see me unsubscribing any time soon, mostly because i don't see any games on the horizon that have much interest for me, and of those that do, their at least 2+ years away

How many polls of this nature are really necessary?
Honest answer - zero. They are all entirely meaningless.
Where's the 6 month option?

2.) Can't use auction house right off.
3.) Lack of Housing customization.
Over-All game didn't seem worth my subscription.
