Having a few problems regarding my GPU with this game

Good Morning! I am having a few issues with FFXIV ARR and my current GPU. Please keep in mind that this is only affecting this game. All other games are running just fine on my system. My temps looks great, and my card would be the only possible "bottleneck" and considering its power, it should be performing better than it is.

I have a MSI N570GTX Twin Frozr III PE/OC GeForce GTX 570 (Fermi) 1280MB 320-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card, 750+ Power Supply, i7 3770 3.4 proc, and 16 GB of RAM. This card has performed great for the last 2 years of its life. However, when i got FF, it started showing little artifact color circles that would blink randomly and then disappear. I run the game in borderless windowed fullscreen as i get better performance that way. The game is also "minimizing' to some effect at random. The window of the game doesn't minimize, but the program is put into the background and the start menu below appears as if i'm alt tabbed. This happens all on its own randomly and i have to click the screen to get back into the game again which happens instantly as the window is still showing there.

I have cleaned and reinstalled the latest drivers so i don't necessarily believe thats the problem.

Let me know what other questions you have or any insight that could be provided.

Thanks!

Artifacting is usually a sign of overheating.  You mentioned your temps look great.  Are you getting those while the game is active?

Also, not all games will tax a GPU the same so it's no surprise that other games might not have the issue.  They don't all perform the same calls either.

I recommend ATI Tool to really hammer on your GPU.  That fuzzy cube really does a number and it has found bad GPU's in the past for me

    Is anything overclocked at all?

I will double check my temps while the client is running tonight, The 570's run a little warm as its a little older but its normal to have them run at around 60C which is what mine is usually around. I have good ventilation in my case but i could double check my cards air intake and fan speed. I'll take a look at that program as well to see if i can figure this out. Its only going to matter for 20 more days as i leave for an extended period and come back after that with a considerable amount of money. At that time i will probably make a new build or upgrade my existing. But i would like to solve it just in case that doesn't happen.

In regards to the other response, i do not have anything OC'd right now.

Does it do the same thing if your actually in Full Screen mode?

I know a lot of people have been having some issues with Windows 8.1, I don't know if that plays into this either or not.
