I Think This Has Been Posted Like Infinity Times (Which I Am Sorry For! ) But Which One Is Better To Buy? World Of Warcraft Has Monthly Fees Which I Wouldn't Like To Pay. So Guild Wars Has The Upper Hand. But What I've Heard From World Of Warcraft Seems Better Than Of Guild Wars.!
Can You Please Help Me Decide

Most people last about 3 months in guild wars, then they're bored. If you like wow you'll probably enjoy it much longer. The thing about MMOGs though, you can't really ask will I like it or is one better then the other. Untill you've played a few and can say what you like and dislike no one can tell you if you'll like one better.
IMO wow > guildwars but both are good games.
As for the fee, I spend more at lunch then I do in a whole month of wow, and the game doesn't smell like crap in a few hours :P
I only still play GW because of my Guild, Guild Wars is a boring piece of software.

No Userbar here, sorry to disappoint.
I have them both. They aren't really the same at all, GW isn't really an MMORPG. Even they call it a CORPG.
They have cities that are MMO in nature but no fighting at all. That's where you gather up groups and talk to people. Then when you leave the gates you go into an instanced zone with your party. The nice part is that you never have to worry about other people. That bad part is that you never have to worry about other people.
If you've never played an MMO you might really like GW. The graphics are nice and they don't have the cartoony look of WoW. They don't have much of a level grind, level 20 is max and isn't hard to reach at all. The game focuses on missions, which are set up adventures. They're fun to do and usually take about a half hour depending on your group.
At the top end of the game there is almost nothing in GW. There are two areas you can go to and there's a bit of challenge but not much. It's a fun game, and the way they have the class system set up it's fun to try a second time with a new combination.
The only area that I think GW outdoes WoW, except the monthly fee, is in the tournament PvP. Even that's up for debate though. There are three types of PvP, 4v4, guild vs guild (8v8), and Tombs which is teams 8v8.
It's fun, there's a lot of strategy involved and not some little skill. Many guilds never win the big tournament and there's always a new build that seems dominant. The other nice thing is that if you're just into PvP you can start the day you open the box. They have some pre-built level 20 characters that you can use to start getting your own skills.
It's a nice game and I thought I got my $50 worth.
WoW is better in almost every way though. It's deeper, far far deeper in PvE. I found it to be too easy but it's not as easy as GW. Most of the people I know that play WoW have at least 2 max level characters and are getting bored. The game keeps growing though so it must be doing alright without me.
If you're not sure about MMORPG, or if you don't want to take the time to level and do PvE, then you might consider GW, otherwise I think WoW is a better choice.

WoW, i dont play it and i got Guildwars, so hard to say about WoW but easy to say about Guildwars and i would say that the game rocks until you have finished the story... you should play World of Warcraft.
They're both fun, I prefer WoW if your willing to pay a monthly fee.
In the last year WoW has improved greatly while guild wars seems stagnate. I really wanted to like guild wars but its been a major letdown.
Anyway WoW is better by far.
nice.. very nice.. haha
And what did that post accomplish??? Zip...and it made you look stupid
(You could have just said you don't like GW or WoW)
I loved them both while I was playing them. The problem with GW is it ends way to fast. The advantage with GW is that, because there's no monthly fee, you can just pick it up and start playing again down the track and not have to worry about getting bored of it and still having most of the month you paid for left (like I did recently with WoW )
Thanks, People For Letting Me Know Your Recommended Choice!
Oh And Yes! I Do Like To Capitalise
I think Guild Wars is better, although I must admit after a few months you get bored, but you keep on coming back because it really is a fun game. If your looking for the long-haul then WoW might be better, although I played that and it simply wasn't as engaging as Guild Wars was, which to me was a lot more fun to play. I also like the graphics of Guild Wars better, WoW looks too WarCraft3/Chunky graphics for me. The biggest draw though is the level 20 cap in GW, it dosen't take nearly as long (By orders of magnitude) to get to the top level like it does in WoW, and how well you do in a fight is based more off of your skills and inherent knowledge of the game rather then how many hours you've been grinding.

I think that World of warcraft is more better....who care's
about paying? if you heard good thing about it just go for it ;D
i got bored of WOW the first 2 weeks. and i dont get bored of games fast. thats just me though
WoW has a lot more to offer than GW, which is probably why it costs more. GW's selling point is PVP, which you CAN do instantly, but you dont have access to the better spells/abilities. WoW's pvp is better if you ask me, although my #1 criticism of it is that there is no 1v1 functionality (no 1v1 horde vs alliance, but you can duel 1v1 people of the same faction). In WoW the items are cooler and there seems to be a decent amount of them, whereas GW's items resemble those of Diablo (Brutal Long Sword of Accuracy, same base item with various modifications, etc).
There's plenty more if you wanna know...
Also, in GW is not an MMO and you'll feel lonely most of the time.
i was really hyped on guild wars, then i got it and played for the very first time, and my impression was. it has great graphics and a good story, but it is just a very shallow game, nowhere near the depth, complexity, and diversity of a typical mmo.
actually, guild wars isnt even a mmorpg by tradition, the only time that you will see people is in a town, as soon as you venture out of it, your instanced in your own world with only mob's, then you realize that this isnt a mmo, its more of a solo game with a central hub..
that being said, i have both wow and guild wars, but neither appeal to me..they both are watered down and more mainstream..i like more complex and diverse mmorpg's..Dark Age of Camelot being my favorite, now that SWG was nuked
