How to get a refund as a Pioneer

Here is just a quote from it:

I called click and buy today. If you want a refund all you have to do is email service@clickandbuy.com, tell them why you want a return and put your customer number in the email. (Which is found on the invoice of your order, which can be found by accessing your account on click and buy.) Thought I would help out. -Jill

Listed in their FAQ.
If it should happen that a provider's service does not live up to its claims, you can file a complaint about the offer here service@clickandbuy.com. When you register your complaint, please tell us your customer information (name, customer number, address for questions) and a detailed description of the error (which supplier, time, etc.). We will then investigate your claim and, if the situation justifies it, refund your money.
I will give it 2 more weeks. They haven't had their scheduled downtime yet. So they have 48 hours this week to fix the login and drop-off issues, and then I'll give them 1 more full week to check it out and that week's downtime. If however by the 2nd-3rd of Jan next year this crap is still going on, I say it's time to dump it.

I still have hope, but it's fading very quickly.

You guys wont get your refund since one of the promises is that the second you 'login' you entitlement to a refund becomes null and void.

Besides the game is fun and loves up to what they have said so far. Its features are unpolished but it's on its way up.

I'll give you that about logging in. Surely someone in the legal profession out there could give us some advice? They also state you can play and leave your mark on the world but with a total gameplay time of 3 minutes there is no way that will happen for me.

Granted i have managed 2 minutes and 30 seconds longer in game than my mate, but even the most ridiculous of courts (ones in France) wouldn't let that ammount to them delivering what was promised.

They aren't giving you that opportunity therefore have failed to deliver!

your funny... that means absolutely NOTHING. They will give you a refund guranteed. The customer is always right no matter what anyone says.

This is for Dark and Light, not SoG.  Dark and Light doesn't exist yet, and I don't think it will for quite some time, which is why I want a refund.

Thanks for the post.  I E-mailed asking for a refund, too.  I am so disappointed  :(

Have you checked Ebay lately for SoG Pioneer Pre-Order accounts?
They sell for crap now lol.
Anything that is above $60 are from the same people trying to hype their bids up.
Yes, I already checked up on it and notice that same people are hyping their bids for each other lol.

I am expecting to not hear anything properly from Farlan or AD so I sent an email to them for a request for a Refund.
Please note that I know they are NOT going to give me a refund and Click&Buy is most likely the best way to do such a thing.

So heres the refund Email Reply.
Notice that EVEN if I NEVER login to SoG they are refusing a Refund!

D&L made their point: we bought a D&L game, and that game has not yet started. And I think that is legally right. Considering it is a French company, they have to abide to European legislation. And in Europe the customersrights are very well defined rights, giving the customers a good position. As long as a customer cannot proofe the game is up to what could be expected (and we cannot tell yet because the game has not been released yet) it will be hard to get a refund. But what Farlan said "no refund once you started playing SoG" is - according to European law nonsense. Play SoG as much as you want (or not), and when D&L is released ask for a refund (when you still dont like the game).

LMAO, that's quite a "bull sh*t" response, if I've ever seen one! image

You >>  I can't even log into the server, I want a refund. image

Them >> We have great features (that don't work)! image

It would be nice if they at least said, "We understand you may want a refund, but give us a chance to fix the problems..."  But, no!  They reply as if you never asked for a refund in the first place, lol.  Classic tomfoolery.

I received an email from ClickandBuy a few minutes ago saying they have refunded me for SoG/DnL.   I would normally never think about asking for a refund for a game.   What convinced me to ask for one was that this is not really game.   Rather its an unstable flight simulator with a chatroom for the gullible.

Fortunatley I have a free account that I gave to a freind who refuses to use it.   I would still like to get a character to max lvl so I can do a full review of this chatroom.  The question is when will DnL close up shop.   Was this downtime an excuse for a holiday for the devs, time to re-evaluate on whether to continue production, a sign that their funding had been cutoff or just simply further evidence of their incompetence and dishonesty.

It will be interesting to see if they attempt to bring the server up on Thursday.  I am sure the trolls will keep telling us how wonderfull this resemblance to a game is regardless of whether or not the server comes back up.  One should remember the trolls do not actually need servers to play as their posts are primarily taken from their imagination.    But besides the amusement we get from watching the fanboy trolls drowning in 2 inches of water it will be interesting to see what happens next in this trainwreck.  NP3 may not be competent but they sure keep giving us amusing topics to discuss.

But there is hope.  Anyone that wants or desires a refund still can do so.  We all receive long run benefits when we refuse to subsidize incompetent and dishonest developers.

Edit:  In re-reading this post I think I came off a little harsh towards the fanboy trolls.  My apologies.  I would say I am a bit tired of all the insults and spamming troll posts by the fanboys.  Just once I would love to see one of them attempt to make an inteligent argument.  Rather than advoiding discussion it would be nice for one of them to join the discussion.

Many of the people that have requested a refund ACTUALLY had faith in the game.
The problem is that some of us actually are not blind fanbois.
Some of us are actually not blind fanbois that just recently started following thios game in the pass few months.
I and along with some people that have requested a refund has been following this game for years!

I myself have played alot of MMORPG at release and even participated in various Betas as well.
Considering that SoG is marketed as a "stand-alone" product and not a Beta/Stress Test/Open Beta, anyone that has ever done a Beta in their lives would know that this is such a poor product compared to most games that are in Beta.
If you have ever Beta Tested any MMORPG before you would know that SoG is currently in a sad state.

There are of course the issue of the company misguiding the community.
This can be seen in my post here: MMORPG.com also linked here: Official D&L Forum

Let us also consider this company's track record shall we: D&L History

After EVERYTHING that I have just shown above, I am sure that anyone in their right mind that has been a Hardcore and loyal fan would start to lose faith in the development of this game.
There has been NOTHING that Farlan/NP3 has done to restore its faith to the Fanbase.

If the game somehow is able to deliver what it is promising by April, I am sure those that had lost faith may try it.
But the company making D&L needs to make a stable and successful game in order to have those that have lost faith with them to come back.
I have yet to see any actions to restore the faith.

    PS:
I also have acquired some info that back up all my arguments, specially from the links I have posted above.
I cannot post it here at this time due to the forum rules here.
When I can post this additional proof I will make sure to bump up the misguidance and lies Farlan/NP3 has been spewing out now and the Facts that I have addtionally acquired to support it.
The proof I have shown in the links above should be enough in the 1st place.

    PPS:
I am sure to some $60 is nothing and to some it is alot.
I think getting the refund is more a matter of principle than anything.

SoG is supposed to allow gamers a view on the game. It is obviously in a less than beta stage. Now, if this preview is such a terrible mess, how are the chances the game itself will launch in time ? And how are the chances the game will be in a state one can actually play it ?

Some people seem to think those chances are slim to none, with slim taking a vacation.

Your perfectly welcome to lend a company your money. If spending 60 Dollars in advance for a game that comes in a sorry state, or will be released later than expected, is your way of having fun, go ahead. But doing that AND calling people who do not share your sense of fun mofo does not make you the sharpest knife in the kitchen.

Google *Mourning * to find out why having to much faith does not pay.

"The email address for refund requests has been changed, the new one is account@darkandlight.com

If you already sent a request to support@darkandlight.com, you may send another one here.

    Thanks!"

I am wondering how I can get a refund for my Pioneer Pre-order of Dark & Light.

I have decided that I no longer want to have this Pre-order.

This is my Pioneer Pre-order info:

Your Dark and Light key: xxxxxx
    Your Pioneer login: kilim
    You are Pioneer # 2927

I hope this can be made possible, thanks.

    Hello,

    Thanks for your email.
We have forwarded your request to CnB, and a refund will be sent to you shortly.

    Regards,

    Lemon - Support Team

Notice the run around statement they sent via email and the way they stop giving a response on the particular email about a refund.
The last email they gave me was AFTER I went thru Click&Buy to get a refund.

    So think about it.

Is it because they really care about the customer base?
Or is it because they do not want to get additional fees from CLick&Buy due to charge backs?
Its a matter of simple economics here.

Farlan themslves directly do the refunds = Only the $60 loss occurs.
Click&Buy and other CC do chargebacks against Farlan = $60 + additional charge back fees.

Considering Farlan was originally determined to not give ANY Refunds as per their original statement, They must have had alot of charge backs via Click&Buy and other CC to make their new statement in order to prevent even more loss revenue.
