Looking for New MMORPG

I currently play DDO. Im looking for a medieval type MMO with player copntrolled character development that is similar to DDO. I dont want to play a game where my character is the same cookie cutter build as everyone else's. There's absolutely no skill involved with playing the same character as everyone else. When you dont have PCCD you end up with just a grind for levels and gear.

So... where can I find such a game?

    that's a hard one tbh.

i think EQ2's AA system does offer some of that until endgame raiding. just get to lvl 20 and then move the xp slider over to 100% AA. then grind AA like you would levels.

In DDO, there are 4 aspects of character development throughout the entire life of your character. First is the stats. Strength, dexterity, constitution, wisdom, intelligence and charisma. Depending upon a few things, you will have from 28 to 36 points to spread between all of these stats.

Next is your skills. Class related are increased by 1 point and non class related increase by .5 points. The number of points you get to spend are determined by your intelligence. skills include hide, move silent, search, spot, diplomacy, intimidate, haggle and many more.

Next are your feats. You are granted 1 feat every 3 levels up to level 20 and then more for epiclevels to lv 28. They are the standard feats such as twoweapon fighting, two handfighting, metamagics for spells, etc.

Then there are the enhancements which are base both on class and race. 80 points are given to level 20.

There is also the epic destinies and thereare several of those and you have 3 slots where you can add features from other destinies into your main one.

If I cant make a character that is close to this personalized, I'll hang with DDO until it dies and then go back and play neverwinter nights 1 and 2 where I can as a single player game.

as i mentioned, "that's a hard one, tbh". so i think you're stuck with DDO for now.

Yeah- I've downloading and deleting games for the last 6 months. I was hoping that asking here would shorten my search.

As for EQ2, I have it and play it on occasion but Im not as happy with it as I am/was with DDO. I'm hoping that some one will pick up where DDO is falling on it's face and I'll be satisfied again.
