New Class Released?

in Guild Wars

i was reading on guildwars.com about info on the next GW expansion and apparently there was info about a new class "assassin" and just wondering if anyone has gotten info about it?

    There was already a post on it but the only thing they released about it was the concept art.

    a post about the same thing has all ready been made please search the forum befoure making a post this gets really annouying

    It was to be expected, given the only class left missing was a stealther. *sigh*
    If they're gonna implement Stealth, I doubt anyone who wants a chance in PvP will NOT offclass Assassin (or mainclass). *sigh*

    Stealth is the death for online-games, simple as that ;)

    That new class will probably not come ina regular patch though. wouldn't make any buisness sense if it did, probably will come via the next expansion (remember, they said they would have like an expansion every 6 months like they said they would *its optional*)

    1:  indeed, the assassin is comming, but not in a regular patch
    they are working on the expantion, should be released in the first half of 2006
    thats basicly between 1 january & 30 june
    closer to 30 june than 1 january i think :)

    2: dual wield might be in the expantion

    But I think they arent going to give this 'away' by just another patch... And yes, I still remember a story about GW, saying theres going to be a exp. pack every 6 months... Well think that's gonna be a year or so... since we only had the news about 1 new exp. pack comin up ::::08:: but it's better then no new gaming experience at all.

    But I think theres a counter class for everything...

    From the pictures that I saw, the assassin is going to look pretty awesome.

    And on all the other proposed classes, I dont think they'd be much different that the classes we have now. Like a pikeman would basically just be a fourth subset of skills for Warrior. Or samurai would be the new version of warrior(assuming that the expansion has some kind of Oriental theme to it). And there's no crafting yet, and I don't forsee it coming anytime in the near future, if at all, so I doubt there would be an alchemist. Besides, who would want to be a class that can only create stuff?

    I'd trade this gloom and doom for a padded room and injections twice a day
