ok folks time for a "its 5:30 am and im bored....lets make a crappy poll!!!" please dont flame and make this thread an argument i just wanna see what percent of this board plays WoW (im curious cos of that 5mil subscribers news)
because i wanted this poll to be a semi accurate picture as to what percent of people on this site play wow, if i put it on the wow part (which barely any one looks at anyway) then it would be near to 100% wow players answering the poll
I used to play, had fun for 4 months, hit 60, stetched it out another 2 months just to stick around with friends, then I got to the point where I couldn't really make any progress with my character unless I logged in for a 6+ hour session almost daily and so I quit. I don't believe in starting alt after alt after alt.

hit 60 after 6 months, spent 1 month just logging in for about 10 minutes a day then logging back out. guild drama was getting intense too. i did start a few alts but it just got boring.

Many people have said WoW has bad graphics but good gameplay and thats wrong.
I find WoW gameplay very boring compared to most games.
I don't think it has bad graphics. The graphics are "good" if you like that style of graphics. Folks that consider them "bad" generally are referring to the cartoony look. Which I personally can't stand either. I think DAOC's new graphics that came with Catacombs are FAR superior to WOW's. But that's because they suit my style better. I like graphics that look REAL... not like a cartoon. To each their own, however, as many people do like WOW's graphics. And they're the same as the "Warcraft" series graphics (which I also didn't like).
The game itself is ok... but after 60 there isn't a hell of a lot to do. Couple that with the toontown feel and I just can't stand WoW. Played it on a friends account and very glad I never sank money into it.

My belief is that most players get used to the 'spoon fed' content up to 60, hence they expect it to continue. There are still quests at 60, but mainly the game becomes a choice of what the character decides. Personally, I enjoy dragon hunting and world pvp. I don't know too many games that differ in that respect.
