I currently play wow, and this game has bored the hell out of me. I was wondering if there is any mmo that doesn't use a turn based style of combat? I feel like im wasting time just sitting there, watching as my character automatically attacks. Is there anything more active than that? I would love to play an MMO with Zelda style combat.

Anyways tbh i don't think there is any :
Some have tried to attempt to make combat more fun like SWG or D&DO but they never really work :

I don't think WoW is turn based, given my understanding of the definition.
Isn't turn based like FFI, where everyone must wait until each person has chosen, for the action to occur?
Regardless, the combat system in WoW and EQ, etc seem to all be the same. It sounds like you want some sort of button mash system which replaces auto-attack
Diablo 2 is like that, but then again it's not a MMO
cell shading FTL
the only cell shaded game that looks good is Okami. everything else looks like crap.
Actually the correct answer is: NO MMORPG's are "turn based". Turn based combat is where you choose your actions, the other guy chooses his actions and then the delays and timers involved determine who swings when.
In MMORPGs there ARE timers involved but they are independant of one another. From the time you, the player, choose which action to use your action is timed. Thus all MMORPG's except for some VERY old ones like M59 and older graphical MUDS are NOT turn based. They ARE tic/timer based for some things but combat is timed based on use, not turns.
People who gripe about combat being turn based really just want FPS combat instead of RPG combat. "Twitch" if you will. Where you fire as fast as you can pull the trigger, regardless of how unrealistic that is. Has nothing at all to do with wanting it to not be turn based. Has everything to do with wanting it to be twitch combat.
Currently Playing: Dungeons and Dragons Online.

I think you are playing with a warrior. Try playing with any caster class, it's a lot less "automatic".
Quite a lot of 2d games don't have turn based combat, but all depends on if you're prepared to play a supposedly outdated 2d game.
