Can't summon my CE's coeurl

in Final Fantasy XIV
When I tried to, it says that I am unauthorized to summon this mount. I've no clue way. Any help/suggestions?

    Have you finished the quest which unlocks your chocobo mount?

    Correction lvl 20 main questline, I said before it was 10.

    You need to be lvl20 With a Class/Job and join a Grand Company.

    Then you will get the quest.

    Progress through your story quests, I think it is about 2 quests after you fight Ifrit.  This is when you will unlock your Grand Company tokens.  Don't want to say much more without spoiling anything.

    You need to be at the point in the story line quest where you join a grand company, and then you will need 2000 seals in order to get the token to exchange for a mount.

    Thanks guys. I'm quite surprised though, I swear I saw a level 8 guy with that mount, I've asked him how he managed to get him and he said that when he went to actions and traits mounts menu and clicked on it, it worked for him.. so I've no clue how did he manage to do it.

    I'm guess he probably already got the ability to summon his mount on his main class that already met the requirements. He was probably leveling up something else and can still use the mount, again, because he already met the requirement on another class.

     

    Just my guess though.

    If you are on a legacy server then it could have been a legacy player. I was able to use not only the coeurl mount, but also my Goobue mount (from 1.0) legacy mount and my GC mount even though I had yet to join a GC.

    It wasn't a legacy server. Either way, my char is progressing really well so hopefully I'll be able to summon it really soon ^^

    Yeah once you hit lv 20 and unlock the mount ability you can use your mount on any class, even if they are level 1.

    You can hire Chocobo mounts from the merchant temporarily that you can control.

    That makes sense why I've seen people ride around in FF6 mechas and coeurls at level 5-7 then.
