Also will be able to customize ships but the game is primarily a shooter and not a space sim and still no PC version because they are too focused on optimizing the game for the consoles.

probably a combination of B2P with perks for subscribing, but by saying they arent out to nickle and dime players, doesnt mean it won't have a cash shop. Without more information can only really guess, they might even be using the same model NCSoft did with GW2.
B2P most likely .. that fit the model of console games with some online element.
I would bet the house they do. Those two services will be required to play online games on the new systems.
Thats not true for all games, Final Fantasy 14 ARR for example and DC Universe Online. I dont think you will be needing it for Planetside 2 either.
I think the PS+ is only required for games that uses PSN servers and I think Bungie will use their own servers for Destiny
Hmm, I must admit I am not exactly sure what the heck their rules will be beyond the things I have heard. I am not getting either of the systems, just invested in a new Gaming PC.
So this all would be news to me so thanks.
It was the same for me when I played Final Fantasy 11 on the 360 and I did not have a Gold Membership for xbox live.

They never said it wont have microtransactions, only that it wont be things that players will need to progress and have advantages over other players. It will be much like GW2 b2p with mainly cosmetic stuff in the shop, It never made me spend one dime in that shop.
microtransactions are here to stay

People asked for it. They really did.

Well DCUO / PS2 are Sony games... So they can play by their own set of rules.. It is most likley not the case for non-SONY games.
This have been a good conversation
Whats the Playstation plus monthly cost?
It is up to the game developer/publisher, not Sony on who requires this. So far it is confirmed that DCU, PS2, and FFXIV will not require PS+ to play online.
Cheers!

For the new consoles this is the case. PS+ and Xbox Live are REQUIRED to play online games. That much has been stated by both console developers.
Could still possibly not be required for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions, but that's highly unlikely.
$10 a month or $50 a year. You get 18 free games when you initially sign up (12 PS3, 6 Vita) and each month they rotate in about 4-6 more free games on average, sometimes relatively new ones occasionally that could go for almost $50 alone. You also get extra discounts on some games purchased through the PSN store.
XBLA offers free games now I think, but not nearly as good a value as a PS+ membership.
ps plus is $10 a month only if you pay single month. If you purchase the $50 dollar for one year then that would equal to about $4 dollars and few cents a month, which is a great value for all the stuff you get compared to xb live.
