I still strongly believe than developing Landmark as another game is taking away time and resources that could be potentially better used in EQN itself. Landmark should have been just a content creator (foundry) for EQN, not another game.
Considering that Landmark is the tool(s) used to create EQN, it's not really taking away time and resources for EQN itself. They have to create the tools regardless and most of the gameplay features are going to be in EQN anyhow (heroic movement, crating, harvesting, etc).
It just shows how far from a completed game they are (and that they should have stayed in the blackbox for another year or two from the look of it).
Well, I'm not sure how I feel. At first, I couldn't get into the idea of the game considering my less that pleased outlook of SOE as a company when SWG was shut down. Then, I got excited as I thought, wait, SOE developed the best crafting system I've ever seen with SWG, these guys know what they are doing! ... After watching this video...I can see that it's still not going to be the complex crafting systsem with a character class devoted to any number of crafting t ypes as it was in SWG. I guess this leaves...EVE Online, as the next best thing when it comes to the crafting/manufacturing systems. Rest in Peace, Star Wars Galaxies. I still miss you.
Also, how do the items get built from the resources? Will there be different sized resources? Making a beam ceiling requires some sizable lumber. Please tell me I'm not going to combine a bunch of sticks into a branch, 5 branches into a log, and 3 logs into a beam.
Maybe I'll just stay out doors.
Logic, my dear, merely enables one to be wrong with great authority.

Which alone would make a massive super-hit. Landmark is even more, though.
So do we know anything about an actual crafting system? Or is it just world building/minecraft style?
Still no hint of a UI, I see.
