How is silk road all around? How is grapihics and lag if its got bad lag im not gunna bother nmothing annoys me worst then lag.

The game is pretty fun in its unfinished state. 3 weapon types and 5 magic schools at your disposal make for a decent amount of control over your available abilities (you pick one weapon and 1/2 magics). Almost every level you can learn a new/upgrade an existing skill. They haven't implemented the other 2 races besides Chinese. The above poster is right. A good portion of the player base sucks. For the first 20 or so levels you may not even party with a single person. Also character customization is limited. Lag not a huge issue, but can be quite crappy at peak times in quest mob areas/town.

i love the game , but they just need a autologger for all the asshats that crowd the towns an spawn areas!

Awsome game...been playing a lil over a month now...graphics are good...No lag from where I play (U.S.A., Maine) and I run off a 256k dsl connection with my pc firewall off and I do not have a router firewall...my bro and me are big time gamers...low/mid-range pcs but we play alot of pc games...ok anyways if you are thinking about playing this..go for Xian server...they are currently rewarding there players with 200% more exp gain and 300% more chance of item drop and 200% more chance of more gold from the monster. If you are wondering why they are rewarding players...it's because that server went DOWN for a couple days I beleive
It has its good points, you get a mount at lvl 10 and hp/mp recovery while sitting is pretty quick (about a min) a nice change from the naps you'd take while resting in L2.
But as said before it's missing a lot of features, especially in the english translation. It can be pretty confusing at times when you try to figure out the dirrections to an npc or monster. For example you get told to kill Stone Ghosts, in that same zone you have Grave Stone Ghosts and Grave Stones flying about.
The lag can be pretty bad, seeing as how there's only 3 servers being packed by what seems like people from all over the world. But if you can get in it's a nice free time killer.
Btw, I've been told Troy is the newest of the servers so it has the least of a lvl gap. So far from what I've seen this seems to be right.
EDIT: Oh yeah one more thing, there is cursing in some of the quest dialogue, I'm not sure if it's intentional or just poor translation. Was pretty suprised when that cute npc dropped the F Bomb on me =X

This game should be renamed to "Silkroad OFFLINE"..seriously...
You get random disconnects throughout the whole day....
The main reason why this game will NEVER stay popular is because they add servers which are not inter connected.
The first few hours that new server is playable, but after a while (30mins) it gets laggy as hell like the other servers.
They just allow too many ppl on one server, which it cant handle at ALL...
I have been playing this game from start (alpha phase) where there was only 1 server so i know what im talking about.
So if you want frustration, you found the right game

Its because i have no other game to spend my time on atm...

Ive downloaded this game and i still cant play it, cause the servers are always full.
When i try to go on, after a while it just freezez and i gottta reset
silkroad is kool game, graphics and gameplay is cool
well worth your time downloading it
graphic is pretty cool
Other than that, same old grinding/camping on the same spot mindless killing type of lvling, which is what I am tired of after almost 2 years of playing lineage 2 lol...pvp wise it's pretty decent with trader/thief/hunter system.
