HDMI Converter Box, HDPVR, PS3 Help!

EvilMixEvilMix Member Posts: 251

Hi, so here's what I'm trying to do, this is probably a long shot but I'm hoping somebody knows how I can fix this.

I have a PS3, HDPVR Gaming Edition (original) a BenQ Gaming Monitor, and a Component/HDMI converter box.

My end goal (which seems impossible) is to be able to use my new gaming monitor, while being able to record PS3 gameplay with component cables.

The problem I'm having is with the monitor I believe, because when I set everything up and open the recording software on my PC, I can see my PS3 screen, but on my BenQ, when I switch between all the inputs I just get no signal, even on both of the HDMI inputs.

Everything is plugged in and set up the way it should be, I just can't seem to finalize this last step. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Try drawing a picture which shows each device, what they are connected to, and what signal/cable is connecting them.  Maybe then, someone can understand what you are trying to do and what is going wrong.
