Seeking new MMORPG. I know what I want, I just can't find it.

Okay guys, I come to you today for help!

I seek an MMORPG that is free. With a cool cash shop filled with vanity items geared t'ward making my character feel unique or cool looking. A cash shop that is not pay to win*.

I seek a game without cheap pets** - like the ones in Eden Eternal or Ragnarok Online 2.

I seek a game that has decent PvE -and- PvP.

A game that's not -too- sickningly cute. Decent graphics are a plus, but it does not need to be top of the line.

An MMo that still has community? I can't believe I have to list this topic is even here. MMOs are supposed to be all about the community! I've played so many that were so solo friendly it made me very lonely to play in them. I want to group with people and make friends!

A game that may appeal to girl gamers would be a plus, but totally not required.

* Pay to win is lame, d00d. I do not mind EXP boosts.
**Cheap pets that break the game and go by the pay to win cashgrab scheme.

    Couple decent F2P options:
    LOTRO
    Rift

Well then again, Tera is pretty sexualized, and she (I'm assuming) said girl gamer friendly.

Not sure what your stance is on the now typical female armor, which Tera follows and encapsulates on it. But the game itself is very action-based. Maybe if you could give us a combat style you prefer? A lot of new MMOs are action-based, and a lot of older, more time-tested MMOs feature tab targetting combat.

I come from games like DAoC, WoW and LoL. (I still play LoL) but I sometimes want a break from the endless stressful PvP games of LoL. So something less twitchy would be nice. Tera is kinda actiony and twitchy. Twitchy to me  means stressful quick movement actions are required, in my opinion.

I only really play action MMOs, so I don't totally know too much about these, but I'd say give Rift or SWTOR a try. Rift is apparently the go-to for people from WoW.

Also, I highly recommend checking out The Secret World (TSW). It's very unique in terms of story and questing, and the combat is somewhere between tab and action, but I feel it leans more towards tab. You don't need to move much, except to dodge the odd warning circle on the ground.

Does Rift have an annoying pet system? Does it have a cool item store that isn't pay to win?

Rift has a lot of costumes without stats in the ca$h shop.

Haven't seen any pets in the 20 levels I played.

I'd go with TSW, though I think it's more B2P with cash shop.

Rift has tons of costumes and pets in the shop, plus both drop randomly out in the world from mobs, fishing and rifts. I don't know what an annoying pet system is to you, but pets in Rift are just companions.

If you mean pets as in a pet class, each of the classes has access to a soul with a pet. So no matter what you roll, you can build your character to have a pet if you want.

The store has tons of stuff and while you can buy gear, you cannot buy the best. I don't know if that is P2W to you. There are all kinds of conveniences but you don't need any of it to jump in and play. And content is not gated by a paywall. Most players really like Rift's new F2P business model. Servers are active and there are some great guilds out there. Hope that helps.

I've recently started Mabinogi, i'm not sure if thats what your looking for but the game has a relaxed feel to it. Either using the mouse for actions or just mouse movement + keybinds.

As for pets, you get 2 pets to start with for free (helps us newbies out alot) but from what i know of so far theres countless other pets to get, from dragons to wolfs  ect. I havn't done much research about pets but they are bought via a cash shop (no idea if you can buy from players or npcs as i'm new) so that might turn you away but, the games completely free otherwise.

Graphics side, not sure if it's "to cute" for you but i think its ok for the games age (its pretty old), also you have the option to have a "style" tab for cloths you wear.

Community, well, i havn't been forced to party yet which i kind of like, i havnt gotten "stuck" (being unable to progress story ect because everyone else is 421 years a head in game) but i've seen tons of people now just chatting in town, asking for partys themselfs ect, i'd say its very optional to party, of course at higher levels it's needed but i don't know much about the game itself yet to comment to much about that.

When you can find pets and buy better pets in the cash shop that help your character attack - That is an annoying pet system. In some of these pet systems, the pet can actually deal more damage than you. I am looking at you, Eden Eternal!

In fact, if everyone can get pets to fight with, it makes the whole system annoying to me. I like companions that just stand around and look cool, and perhaps add some flavor to your character (Having a Lichling as a pet for a Deathknight is pretty cool) but I think I will shy away from Rift.

Maybe there's just nothing on the market that I am looking for. Which is kinda sad. If only I could take my ideas and make a game out of it. We've all been there in that dream, I believe!

I am also not into star wars video games, for that one person who suggested. Love the movies, but that is as far as I plan to take it. C:
