Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft: Android and iOS Next Year, PC Open Beta this December

During Blizzcon's opening ceremony, Rob Pardo announced that the open beta for the PC version of Hearthstone will begin in December, and that the Android and iOS development is on track for late 2014.

    Wait, when did they announce the Android version? I could have sworn it was just going to be on iOS and that it was stated that the Android version may or may not be an after thought after the iOS release. That could have been a while back, but I swear I remember something like that.

    I'm so glad that they are releasing an Android version of the game, I have an android phone and was thinking that I was going to have to deal with pc only, this game would work perfectly on the go.

    I think the late 2014 release is for the mobile platforms not the PCs, but I could be wrong, and often I am, ha-ha.

    The game will go into open-beta next month and the tablet version is playable at the show today.

    I am surprised they're doing Android, then again since version 4.x Android has finally started to get it's act together - I wont be surprised though if blizzard have some very strict rules on what Droid devices can run HS

    Seriously, when Android is 80% of the market, you are lucky iOS is even getting it.

    android has most the market

    but android has a history with platform fragmentation (but is improving)

    android also has poor selection for tablet specialized gaming  (altho this is improving)

    Android version will gather my attention. Playing this on pc is a no go, to many other things to do with my pc.

    HS is the only decent game in the pipeline.

    SC2/HOS/D3 no longer interest me.

    WOW: I'll dip in for a month or 2 after the expansion launches.

    But I am quite unimpressed with BlizzCon.

    Hopefully open beta in Dec. means people will stop begging for beta invites.
