If your in Beta your game screen is layered with your account name plastered all over the screen. Unless someone doesn't care about losing there access I doubt you'll be seeing any videos unless there ultra low res, then whats the point.  Imagine a sci-fi vanilla wow and upgrade it with some features and you have Wildstar.

I would not say that WS is any where near Vanilla, for better and for worse. Vanilla was a nightmare compared to WoW these days in many aspects. It had more money and time sinks than most Korean cash shop MMO's, had no non-raid end game content to speak off, and raid progress especially prior to the nerfing patches was quite difficult, not to mention tedious especially when the rep based rewards of QA and Naxx cam to be.

Wildstar has most if not all of the comforts modern MMO's such as instant quest return, quest pickup on the go, quest hints, group finders, etc. It will have 40man raiding but since we've seen no such content as of yet, and it was not available in any of the beta phases as of now you can't really say that it's going to be vanilla like. I would hope not TBH, Vanilla had some interesting fights for sure, but most boss mechanics were quite simple with forced entry requirements such as resist gear, def raiting etc. And they were also heavily focused on dealing with one form of CC or another. I really hope Wildstar raiding will not be the 40man farm fest Vanilla had once you've reached a certain gear treshold and it will be bit more complex than "fear inc - get ready!" and "wand for mana" yells on team speak...

    There are no "unannounced classes"...

You see, every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with their surrounding environment, but you humans do not. You spread to an area, and you multiply, and you multiply, until every natural resource is consumed. The only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is? A virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet.-Mr.Smith

Meh. As someone who is currently playing V WoW, I really don't get posts like this. It's not a nightmare, never was a nightmare, nor does it compare to a Korean grinder. It requires a certain degree of work, but there's nothing crazy about it... Tbh, V WoW is what I'd call "normal" as far as time needed to get things done goes. It's still much less hardcore than, say, EVE. If anything, V WoW is a very chill game because nobody is rushing anywhere. You probably considered V WoW a "nightmare" because you tried to rush it. I agree, then it does, indeed, become a nightmare...

I'll agree that WildStar is currently a poor substitute for V WoW. The leveling experience, so far, looks very handholding. Leveling to max probably won't take too long, and combine that with handholding, you'll have that feeling of a rushed game again.

I think at best, it'll be Vanilla Rift. I'll pay for that. But they won't reach Vanilla WoW unless they give players something to hold on to, something to work for, something to achieve, and unless they promote effort, thought, and grouping.

    Favorite MMO: Vanilla WoW
    Currently playing: GW2, EVE
    Excited for: Wildstar, maybe?
