Still an issue, still a problem, mostly happens in PvP/16 man ops.

The last time someone replied on that thread was in July with only someone necro'ing it every month and that too was because of a bug which caused ability firing which i have not heard from anyone at all in ages. Please learn to look at the dates.

    There's also this comment there

Setting it to 0.5 actually helped, guess I figured I was too pro to have ability que.

which shows some were actually QQ'ing over a L2P issue.

When over hundreds of thousands of players play the game and only 1-2 guy comes and complains about it every month (as is the situation in the thread), you just know it's a serious Learn-to-Play issue. I was not there at Launch but as i have shown you in my video, they have fixed the ability animation delay by making sure the ability goes off first before the animation completes.

Plenty of issues with it still. Two of the most active threads recently mention ability delay as alive and well, but whatever. Nobody can tell you anything different.

Oh, and the thread that you claim "only 1-2 people come in and complain about" is the continuation of not one, or two, but six (and now on its seventh) 1000 post threads. That means over 6000 different comments about the issue. Sure seems like real dedication of those same two guys to be bumping the same thread 3500 times each.

Its fairly easy to counter these swg posters who have now wasted almost two yes of their life bashing a video game they don't play. Most of their comments start with HAD or AT LAUNCH. Most of them don't play and have no clue on the current game.

You are standing there alone manually clicking skills. We are talking about group instances where you have to move around and use key bindings to perform better and faster.

Additionally bugs like these still exist: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=143753

It still regularly happens to me that my char gets stuck in auto run and the only way to fix it is to hit S and W at the same time.

Quite annoying when you want to heal your group and your char decides to run into the gold mobs ahead of you instead.

A funnier bug that regularly happens is that keybindings magically uncheck the box for sound muting the game during fights.

But yeah I listed bugs in the game that heavily influence skillful playing  - clearly the others and me are haters.

I always thought the sound box unchecking was my xpadder set up :) , all this time later , I now realise it's just a keybind bug. Not just me. Good to know.

As to the subject , well not noticed much if any ability delay recently myself.

    Cheers,

    BadOrb.

The truth is, it hasnt changed all that much, a lot of issues from launch are still issues today, namely engine issues.

Yes, i played it then and i play it now and i played it in between.

There are issues with the game, and mostly they didnt go away, i think the worst one is still the 'crowd effect' where the game engine itself can't handle any kind of population density, this is something thats just inherent to the hero engine and i really doubt it will ever improve, it means that in terms of PVP the game will never really do the open world thing without a lot of numbers constraints and instancing. But it is still a fun game despite this, one i am subbed to, and will continue to sub to for quite some time to come. SW;TOR to me is a casual friendly PVE game, it does that well enough that i don't mind the things it can't do.image

This game is not a grinder lol, I don't think you have played it much.

This game is so easy to level and the class stories are very very good.

I myself do the class stories and pvp to level.

You have many ways to level and crafting is pretty good too.

I have been playing since launch and though this is not SWG the pvp is way more fun than SWG was.

A few ideas for more content.

    1. Housing "Planets that have housing should also be pvp areas."

    2. Sabac and Pazack.

    3. A way to get some 16 vs 16 matches maybe on a special server designed for it.

    4. Speeder races.

    5. Be able to use all your compaions at once for solo flash points.

It looks like they fixed the ability delay but I don't play the game anymore so I cannot be certain.  Regardless if it is in the game now, it WAS in the game at launch and months after launch.  Its the reason why many of the pvp communities that were once interested in this game ended up laughing at its clunky controls and not subbing.

For the record, the biggest issue was combat animation that took precedence over ability cooldown.  You use an ability that takes 2 seconds to cast but has a 3 second animation?  WTF.  Such a huge oversight and it should have been something the devs worked out in beta.

PvP ended up being completely shit because of it.

I don't mean to necro a thread, but saw you link this from another thread. Just wanted to say thank you for doing this. I also get tired of people trashing SWTOR by lying about things. I've gotten into arguments on the internet and in RL with people claiming certain things. I've been playing SWTOR since headstart and I've not seen 90% of the bugs people say are  "Plaguing" the game.

Also like to suggest, scalable 8/16 Operations from level 10 onwards, Make raiding another leveling process if one chooses too. Not just endgame.
