SOE ship design is really nice.

As trailers go it's a little short but entertaining.

EVE trailers are more lore/story things than actual gameplay promotions, at least I see em so.

CCP don't know where to take Eve Online next. This is just another "another day at the office" expansion with nothing new, or exciting. CCP seems afraid to take chances as costumers are finding other games to play.

    Too bad. I miss Apocrypha.

Can't say I blame them. The last time they took a chance on something (WIS), the community came within a hairsbreadth of a full-scale revolt. CCP is more or less stuck producing the same thing over and over again, since the players generally don't like any sort of change & don't understand that true progress for the EVE universe lies beyond 'internet spaceships'.

How can I put this? How about, "EVE has the stupidest community of smart people I've ever known". I think that gets the message across without being overly offensive.

AN' DERE AIN'T NO SUCH FING AS ENUFF DAKKA, YA GROT! Enuff'z more than ya got an' less than too much an' there ain't no such fing as too much dakka. Say dere is, and me Squiggoff'z eatin' tonight!

That is a load of crap excuse. They should take risks but on things that their playerbase wants. Not guess on something they think is 'cool' or better. What they like may be different that what the players want; what the players want trumps their wants.

I don't know much about the expansion, haven't followed EVE, but their trailers are always amazing...

And what do players want that isn't already there?

There seems to be a bit of misinformation in this thread, primarily about CCP not knowing where to go next or that they're not taking any risks on what the players want. I wanted to drop a few links here for you about the vision for EVE that might clear that up. Earlier this year, CCP Seagull gave an overview of where EVE is headed and what you can look forward to in future expansions at EVE Fanfest 2013. A video of that can be found here.

If you want the quick and dirty version, here's the vision for the future of EVE.

The video is based on the current point in the EVE storyline, which ties in with the features, which in turn ties in with the sandbox-style gameplay. The capsuleers (players) of EVE are taking further control over the universe and the Empire (NPC) factions are getting nervous. The reach of the capsuleer is extending deeper into space and discovering new things, but it is also reaching deeper into Empire territory, and capsuleers will now be able to destroy, replace, fight over,  and own the customs offices around planets, setting their own taxes on imports/exports.

There's a lot more to the expansion than what the trailer shows, as it's more of a trailer for  the Ghost Sites than anything else. If you're interested in the feature list for the expansion, you can check it out here

They sure do spend a lot of money on these cgi trailers that are nothing like the game. I have to agree that Eve is just stuck and going no where. Really a shame that the player base is what it is. They really hate change. That's why it will always be a niche game. They could really make a lot of money with this game if they just would say screw it and make the game for everyone. And with the vastness of the universe, they really could do it. What a waste. The game could have been second to Wow in terms of money making.
