I resubscribed my account on the 18th of October, thinking id give the game another shot. Played over the weekend then couldnt play again until the following weekend due to work.
Logged back in and ive been banned for TOS violation.
I have no idea how or why, as I only played for a region of 24 hours. Most of which I spoke to very few people and just gathered resources. All I can conclude is that my account details were somehow compromised (discovered trojans on my pc) and used. Presumably by some sort of key logger,as I never use my account details elsewhere.
Between October 22nd and November 7th (10 working days) I sent emails to their CS department requesting information as to the reasons of the violation.
It took 18 emails for them to finally reply and tell me why I had been banned.
I was completely ignored. I started with one email, waited 3 working days, then another waited another 3 working days. Until I took the liberty of trying to discover if I was being ignored by making a second email account and saying I had problems logging in. To which I had an immediate reply.
However if they ban you, you will wait 10 working days, and probably longer if you werent as persistant as me at getting an answer.
Tried to plea my case, asked them to check IP's as I only use one. Languages, I sent copies of Photo ID to verify identity.
And then, nothing...
I continue to be ignored..
So yea, fanbois out there feel free to label me as a cheater, gold seller w/e. Ive never cheated in a game, i dont know chinese, never bought gold and this is all very funny until this happens to you..
Quite frankly I dont care about my account anymore, I just want to share and warn other players of the situation and how AV will treat you.
TBH I wouldnt be so annoyed about this if I had just recieved timely CS responses telling me why and allowing me to make a plea. This has happened to me only once before with Blizzard and they were more then helpful, eventually giving me my account back.
If you spend your money on this game. Be careful! Scan the shit out of your pc before hand. It seems the trojans are on the huntfor your account details and AV wont give a shit.
potentially this kind of behaviour by AV is crazy as they're killing their paying player base.
anyway, troll away..

Hey I just wanted to share what you say could be possible I had some chinees server account login on my account of another game in the same time I had it 6th november.
But that company has verification email process that you need to enter a code to apply a new computer acces.
Since technoligy is so fragile I strongly encourage companies for a second secuirity. I would love to see automatic
phone verifications like on some online shop websites instead of email so you can always rest assured.
If I had your problem with this game I would send a scanned cd-key or invoice if digital purchased to proof ownership of a copy
that should match your account. I am not familar with this company but I believe your story it happened to me too.
when traced back the IP it was a chinees server.
My personal opinion on companies that ignore these events is that they either lack secuirity or dont trust people.
Anyways if you have a cd-key you have an agreement license then they have to correct and help the issue.
Just try send it to them and see what they have to say.
Tried that, ive sent the email of the digital transaction. Sent Photo ID verifying my Address.
AV wont give me any information, much less an IP so I can check the location. They dont even respond.
The last email I had from them was on the 7th of November... Well its now the 15th...

Games:
Currently playing:Nothing
Will play: Darkfall: Unholy Wars
Past games:
Guild Wars 2 - Xpiher Duminous
Xpiher's GW2
GW 1 - Xpiher Duminous
Darkfall - Xpiher Duminous (NA) retired
AoC - Xpiher (Tyranny) retired
Warhammer - Xpiher
This company has an agreement where at first glance they can just sit and do nothing if prefered.
but in ToS and eula part 2.h
it says someone may not unauthorized play.
- you cannot do them yourself when you bear the accepted license under a purchased code.
(Your own account bound to it)
Still in other sections despite the many precautions and statements what you have to do to prevent it from happening
it also states someone may not do it counterwise.
That being the hacker who installed the game as the YOU figure.
so they have to do something with this or its a typical break they make despite also they write they do not have to respond to you.
overpowered hack situations that can be proven needs to be at least looked into serious and corrected where can.
Its a great escape card hackers virtualy are a second figure that accepted the agreement thus makes you escape from any other claims in it are not applicable to you
Maybe they forgot to realize that but ignorance is a no go and legal break
Kinda hard to understand, but from what I gather your saying.. As the Hacker isnt the account holder he/she cant/didnt accept the TOS therefore legally I personally have no grounds to being banned?
Either way, even if this was the case, I cant even argue it as they wont respond to my emails.

Make a post on the Tech forum and if that is not answered, make one on their Pulbic forum.
Make sure your post is factual, to the point and is not full of pointless rage. Explain what happened, say what you think needs to be done and ask what it is that AV needs to see from you in order for your account to be unbanned.
Who knows.
www.luxarcana.org
No the ToS you did accept that states things its your responsibility to maintain secuirity and the things you need to do
forfeit the value and or claim how you want to name it that you signed to accept.
Because the hacker a new person to the event did accept the same TOS from another angle perspective where it then states
in 2.h that you are not allowed unauthorized play.
That makes all the claims and statements to this event that you signed have no more power to back at.
The only part that matters is that a new person did break the TOS.
The only other part of the TOS that they can claim to you maybe is for makeing unwanted attention to other players.
But this is not realy unwanted attention as you tried follow through the normal way and did recieve atleast one reply between your ticket and forum contact.
its more like trying to resolve it another way, however mostly they will not accept forums as costumer service.
But a bit fair and honest company would not act like putting his head in the dirt hideing behind everything little they can grab.
As it looks now assumeing always friendly contact and no other harms meant to the company then to recieve a solution ,you did not break any rules that they should ignore your request for.
But take in mind most games its normal to take 10 days for your first contact then mostly around 2-3 working days for followup update replies.
Back in the old days when this game was new the support was fast and did look good to me. I never experienced anything this bad but I am suprised if thats how they operate their game.
Aye, totally understand I cant expect immediate replies. I ussually give it a working week.
But what got me suspicious is how they reply within an hour normally.
To test it I used another email account, to send an email minautes after the one on my accounts email. The second account got a reply. My Account email didnt. I dont know about you but that spells out as intentional ignoring.
After I realised this, I decided to just repeatedly email them every day until they replied. And it worked.
Since the 7th of Nov, Ive sent 3 emails, thats it, I really cant be bothered to spam them and jump through their hoops if they're gonna be arseholes about it.

That said my original intention was to try and get it sorted out before my subscription ran out. Which it pretty much has now..

You are real positive some of the contents they mention in the Code of Cnduct to a permanent ban did not apply to your gameplay history?
What is strange is there at section permanent bans hacks (in sense of being hacked account) is not included and it says it is supervised prior to final decision.
It makes no sense if they did for hacking reason seems like another break then.
What makes sense is that your account questions in your current status require supervision to awnser then a regular account.
That may explain the delay.
Yea definately.
They said I was selling gold.
Im pretty sure I didnt do that. :l

Its a very complex situuation.
But as your starting post if you havent played a week the game, ask your internet service provider a print of it thats a ticket to proof your IP did not play this game durning that time.
Any other IP accesed is a hack violation.
If you did play in the suspected currency sell that they believe then it becomes more complex. not sure if I would try all out and show my personality naked with every incomeing and outgoing transactions that period and not even guarenteed to be accepted as second chance or not guilty.
