How is that a valid point. There are only 6 different game genre's if you think about it.
Half-life 2 is a clone of wolfenstien
The last of Us is a clone of Gears of War
Super Metroid is a clone of Super Mario
Command and Conquer is a clone of Warcraft
etc....
So what if people take ideas that are out there, lots of gems are clones.

I'm certainly looking forward to Trove. Minecraft was one of my favorite games, but now I want to try something like it, but done a bit differently. You can only reskin Minecraft and mod it so many times before it just feels like the same game again.
TRove actually looks better than Minecraft. Minecraft's colors look washed out with less detail while Trove (in that video) has more vibrant colors and less edgy borders. I hope Trion makes a really freeform sandbox with this game. I would play this game instead of Minecraft any day if its well done. So far the only "minecraft-esque" game i like is Terraria.
I wonder if the OP's father ever comes home from a drinking binge & tells the OP that he's just a clone & that he'll never amount to anything, just like his ol' man.
