Requiem: Memento Mori: Warpportal Takes Over Development

Warpportal, the team behind Ragnarok and Ragnarok 2, has announced that it will be taking over development of the horror MMO, Requiem: Memento Mori. Warpportal has published the game in the west for some time but will, only now, be taking over creating new material.

“We’re extremely excited to finally develop for Requiem: Memento Mori in house, as avid fans of the game and genre, we’ve spent an exhausting amount of time transitioning in, but in the end it’s totally worth it! We hope that all our fans are excited about this change as we are!” says Denny Kwon, Requiem Producer. “When Requiem launched the game was a fantastic world of horror, blood, and terror; we want to continue that tradition and bring it to the next level and make the game truly great.”

Head to the Requiem: Memento Mori site for more information.

Seems like a good thing. When the title split off into two publishers quite a while back, any serious development seemed to end for both branches.

Well I am very curious what they will do with the title. Hopefully lessening the grind a bit and maybe introducing it to Steam for a much needed player boost.

    MMOs currently playing: -
About to play: Lord of the Rings Online
Played: Anarchy Online (alltime favorite) and lots of f2p titles (honorable mentions: 9Dragons, Martial Heroes, Dekaron, Atlantica Online)

I spent some time playing this a few years ago - it's actually a pretty good game.  Look forward to seeing some well deserved development!
