having the endmost game dropped from pve content is simplistic and bad

the 'wow system' of crafting is also over simplified 

 

there is currently a discussion between players and devs about crafting gear vs endgame 'raid' gear

 

the reality is that everyone running around as clones wearing the same 'pve aquired' in a non ffapk server (easymode) loot is the most simplistic and casual option of them all

 

 

the game is very good but i know they can take endgame crafting gear up a level that doesnt simply require gather grinding, randomized pve drops and unique equipment would be a good start

    You haven't really said it but I get the impression this is a pvp should have the best end game gear idea ?

    of course there should be some 'quest content' that is the best of the best - ideally these items would fill unique rolls.  for example, a 'relic' quest for different accessory pieces that offered distinct advantages in certain fields.  all quest gear is just faceroll simplistic.  i know they speak about marketing for 'the current market' but i am convinced that the current mass of players could enjoy a better system if they were exposed to one.

    It is very hard to read your version of English...

     

    But crafted gear is the best gear in the game aside from level 90 drops which come from Coil (which has a stupid week long lockout) and mythology AF2 (which has a 300 tombstone cap taking 2 weeks to get most minor pieces, 3 to get most major).

     

    The result is an extremely high demand for crafted ilevel 70 gear.  These sell for upwards of a million a piece for HQ.  Yes they require components which are bought with the stupid currency system from dungeons, however so what?  If you don't want to do those dungeons BUY THE MATS.

     

    Philo mats go for 30k on my server.

    Crafted pieces sell for 1 million+.  9 philo mats=270k for you being lazy and not wanting to do the work yourself.  I'd much prefer drops being used as components for endgame crafted gear and not currency based items, but if you don't do content as a crafter you have to buy it from someone who does.  Welcome to the world of crafting.

     

    The game has lots of problems, but making it so crafters don't have to interact at all with anyone else in order to make insane profits is not one of them.  Crafting is an excellent money maker.

    hmmm none of these issues apply to me and your grammar is far from perfect protected one, i can make the hq i70 gear,  and this clone gear system is what i am critiquing, it is simplistic leftovers from WoW and dumbed down, casual, easymode

    but yes, its true, the prices everyone has set for the crafting items, are very very very stupid, these people dont understand basic things other than 'queue for dungeon!'   get the top gears !  get 100 philos!   lol.. so stupid

    No.  Crafting should not exceed raiding gear.  The reasons are split three ways

    RMT Prevention (reduction)

    Gameplay Emphasis

    Raiding

    Go back and re-read Yoshi's post regarding it and actually respond to the points he raised.  He envisions a different game from you.

    Also, don't bring up PvP.  There are massive changes that are only partially released.  Not worth discussing yet.

    Um? You do realize that some pieces of crafting gear are actually REALLY good, as in they can trump out higher level gear? Melding can make the crafted gear stand out above even some of the best raiding goods.

     

    At least if that is what you were trying to imply, not sure what you are really saying.

    As a dedicated crafter/gatherer I disagree. Tired of this all or nothing mentality that I see in some "crafters". Don't force people to play your content. Raid or die goes both ways, you know. Live and let live. Besides, isn't it enough that we make 99% of the best of everything in the game? Sheesh let some raiders have a decent reward for their efforts. They already have to come to us with their raid gear for melding in order to make it truly best in slot.

    Incorrect, you cannot match the sheer power of a determined build on raiding ilevel 90 (combo of allagan and myth).

    You can, however, get close.
