Name your Top 3 Favorite Races in any MMO. 

1. Warcraft Orcs - Thrall, Rexxar, Grom .... all rock! 

2. Warhammer Chaos - Demonic possessed lunatics rule! 

3.  Dark Age of Camelot - Midgard - Troll Vikings ....nuff'said

 

PS: Mike Bitton is part Dwarf....if you ever see him in a Tavern you will know why :)

    If I combine background/lore, gear and looks, then it would be:

     

    Guild Wars / Guild Wars 2 - Norn

     

    EVE Online - Minmatar

     

    Everquest 2 - Ratonga

    I agree with #2 and #3. #1... My first GW2 character was a Norn. I got him to max and rolled up a couple of Humans. I liked the Humans better than the Norns.

    In WoW, I think the Tauren and Night Elves could have switched sides. Tauren seemed more "alliance friendly" in their views and Night Elves seemed more "Horde friendly" with theirs.

    I have found that overly large races (like the Norn in GW2) or overly small races (like Gnomes in EQ or WoW) change the feel of the game for me. My Norn felt like he was running through molasses when he moved. The shorter perspective of the smaller races I could never really adapt to.

    My #1 race I guess I could replace your Norns with EQ's Half-Elves. This would be because they could use anything intended for Humans or Elves along with Half-elf specific items/gear. The models were not that great, but the mechanics I liked :)

    Personally the only modern MMORPG trend that annoys me is the idea that MMOs need to be designed in a way to attract people who don't actually like MMOs. Which to me makes about as much sense as someone trying to figure out a way to get vegetarians to eat at their steakhouse.

    Out of all my max level characters, 75% are Norns (Warrior, Guardian and Ranger), and I have one human beside them... so you can guess I loved the lore and setting quite a bit ;)

    I'd have liked Charr better if they were able to optionally walk on two legs like the Charr NPCs too.

    Same! Actually, my base characters are generally very Thor-like, kinda like me, but a little less midriff, more hair, more muscles, oh and more tall ;) 

     

    I do like Char and Tauren though.

    Tie between Trolls and Worgen from WoW

    Tumeroks from Asheron's Call 2, spellcasters specifically. Who doesn't want to cast spells through a drum.

    Dragons from Horizons/Istaria. I can't believe no one else has done this.

    there is Nothing cooler then a Tiny Little GNOME female warrior Main tank ...killing 300 foot tall dragons haha

     

    Main tanking Quarm as a GNOME Female warrior was sooooo much fun when EQ 1 was New

    The lore of the Norn is cool, I give you that. But they are damn ugly... second uglies race ever (after daoc - firbolgs)
