An article for the upcoming space MMO, that holds the record for kickstarter funding with $24 Million, is going to be state of the art graphics.

In this interview, the developer tells us:

"It will NEVER be dumbed down for a lesser platform. We will NOT limit the input options or supported peripherals to the lowest common denominator. We will NOT pass on features and technology just because they will only run on some hardware configurations.

"I just upgraded my office rig to a pair of Titans running in SLI, driving a 4K monitor and a 1440P one (thanks NVidia for the goodies!). We're about ready to build the ultimate AMD rig with FOUR R9 290Xs and AMD's eight core CPU driving a set of 4K monitors in Eyefinity (Thanks AMD!)

Well isn't that nice, he sure is spending those gathered millions on some fancy office computers.

I bet he also needs a Lotus Esprit to drive to work so he can be there on time and make sure nothing is getting dumbed down. :D

You seem to have missed him thanking the hardware manufacturers for giving  them the hardware. For free. Well, without money changing hands. AMD and Nvidia are getting free advertising for their generosity.

Then again, I wouldn't mind getting a free Lotus Esprit either.

I'm sure they didn't pay him for the 4K eyefinity screens. Anyway, it just seemed amateurish at best to me, to make such an investment. I'm sure any other game developer with a $24 million budget wouldn't do that.

And the part I laughed about was how the Titan Machine was standing in his office, I mean at least you'd expect the grapchics artist or the 3D modeller to get that machine at his workbench.

It is always brilliant to aim for top of the line performance and cut out as many potential customers as possible. But, I guess he has already made his money and can be an elitist making games for elitists.
