I used to play ffxi on the sylph server in 2003 and 2004. I had a 61DRK when i left(deleted now) i'm thinking of returning to it since i don't think there are any other mmo's like it(they seem to be heading in the direction of guild wars)
I've heard alot about how gilsellers are causing inflation and expensive items, how bad is this now?
Also i'd like to know which server has the least amount of high lvls(if anyone even knows) and if there are going to be new servers when the xbox 360 version comes out,(there were many new servers when the ps2 versions came out)
Also how the population has changed in the past 12 months(i know i'm asking alot -.-)

Unfortunately inflation is quiet high due to the gil-sellers and I'm afraid it is going up. Hopefully ppl will start realising how bad things r and stop buying gil. Dunno about new servers yet. I believe it will all depend on how many users SE is expecting to join the game once the XBOX360 version is out. Don't know how the population has changed cause I've only been playing for 6 months but my server (Ramuh) is quiet populated. I have no probs finding PTs and help when I need them.
I've heard rumors that alot of RMT is leaving ffxi cause its not profitable anymore, and they are dumping all their gil real cheap which has caused alot of inflation recently. Hopefully these rumors are true and prices will even out. Other than that, i think at this point all servers are packed with high lvls. I'm on titan and there are still a good level of new players ut areas like qufim, and the the jungle are dead compared to when i started playing.
THis game is far from dead if thats what you were getting at. I say it will still be going strong 2 years from now if SE can get the economy under control.
