DUST 514: Forthcoming Weapons Detailed in New Blog

The DUST 514 site has been updated with a detailed profile of a pair of weapons that will debut in the next content update, likely in December. Both the Combat Rifle and the Rail Rifle have racial alignment bonuses attached. 

  The 1.7 release of DUST 514 is significant for a number of reasons, not the least of which is that it introduces the Combat Rifle (Minmatar) and Rail Rifle (Caldari) to the battlefields of New Eden. These join the Assault Rifle (Gallente) and Scrambler Rifle (Amarr) to round out our first full set of racially aligned weaponry.

This is important because each race favors a particular weapon archetype, each of which possesses a unique damage, range and behavior profile designed to suit a particular play style. But before we get to that, let’s take a look at the weapons themselves.

    About time they got some more weapons from different races in the game. Still won't make me re download the game though, might be worth coming back to this summer.

    Any news on DUST coming to PC's? I recall the PlayStation exclusive deal had somekind of time limit, and after that at least in theory it could come to other platforms too? I'm looking to get back into EVE, and DUST would be nice filler action to go along with EVE but heck no I'm not going to play any FPS on a console.

     

    Darn CCP should have gone with PC to begin with so they would have been able to develop less restricted gameplay and areas than what DUST currently has. Or at least waited for PS4 with it's power to support bigger everything.

    You probably won't hear about a PC version until there is a PC version, which also is probably along way from now.

    You probably won't hear about a PC version until there is a PC version, which also is probably along way from now.

    Considering they have official stated that they don't even have any plans on a PS4 port,  I wouldn't hold my breath at all...

    I still can't believe there is no PC play on this game yet.  EVE is 100% PC why make the FPS PS3 lmfao.
