There Is Always Hope!
PC.
I'll doubt I'll own a console until >6 months after release when I can make a decent judgement on them.
If you have a USB keyboard you can still hook that up for chatting purposes and use the gamepad for everything else.
over 20 years of mmorpg's and counting...
You can connect your PC to your 60" TV for even more awesomeness.
This this this.
Get yourself a cheap $10-$20 USB keyboard. Mine started on my PC, then used on my xbox 360 now on my ps4.

Playing it on the PS4 if I do buy it. It's not going to be a long lasting MMO for me and I'd rather like the trophy system Playstation uses and wouldn't mind getting a few for playing for a month or two.
Isn't the game being mainly developed for the console? The majority of the ES audience is made up of console players so one would think they are developing the game for them. With the 5 skill hot bar they seem to be aiming for controller friendly UI design instead of a keyboard and mouse style game.
To answer the OP I don't know if I will play it on any platform at all, so I chose not going to play.
+1
Incredible, that you allready know you are not going to play it for long without even having played the game.... If you come from PC mmoing to console mmoing you will probably find a lack of community a reason to stop playing ( after all most people will not be using their keyboards to chat ). So choosing PS4 might be the reason you will not play this game for long, ...

I would prefer to play on a console, but I plan on being a long term player. With the console and PC servers separated, I do not want to start on the console and have to recreate my character when the console guild falls apart.
I just do not have confidence that the console crowd will stay long term and in organized guilds like PC players tend to.
So, I would prefer console, but will probably play PC just for the long-term guild organizations.

I am glad for the console players that they are going to experience mmo games.
but unfortunately the devs are going to compromise to release most mmo games on all platforms.
the really special mmo games will be kept for pc.
