Hi guys, i am thinking of playing FFxiv, my main concern right now is the population of the game. are there still many low level player ? I don't want to pay for the game and then left alone unable to find a group for dungeon. I read some review and i heard its a good idea to play as a tank or a healer, i like tank so this should not be a problem.

Yeah if you're a tank it should be no problem. Lots of people still leveling up all classes.

I have both at 50, and currently they don't compare at all. Warrior takes way more damage in a way spikier fashion for the trade-off of about 6% more DPS. There is literally nothing a Warrior does significantly better right now. Besides looking like a total badass of course. That said, Warriors are getting massive buffs and both tanks will be viable. Warrior takes more skill to play. Paladin puts me to sleep while tanking. You'll end up leveling both a bit for cross class abilities, so you can decide which one is more fun, but until December 17th Warriors are the weaker tank.

I would say bard at end game. But for dungeons, you can only queue as tank, dps, or heals. Tank and heals get in fast. DPS is long.

    Umm...

Once you are at L50 BLMs are pretty popular for dungeon grinds, and BRDs are pretty popular for raids... but only if you are looking outside the duty finder. Aside from that, while leveling or in the duty finder, all Support/DPS gets thrown into a big pool of "huge wait times" for dungeon queues, usually sitting around waiting for the next tank to queue.

been there done that, gald I am finished with that game.

I felt robbed when I played it but their is nothing else that released this year.

secret world and guild wars 2 is mush better.

don't sub.play hard for a month and be a warrior -the onley nice thing of the game is the dungens and graffix.

It is still worth playing and quite easy to get into. My first character I made was a Paladin, no problem doing the dungeons, longest wait time about 5 mins. I re-rolled and made an Archer a month or so again, leveling and grouping just fine. Dungeons can vary depending if in peak or not, but shortest wait was 7 mins the longest was 50 mins during that tie I did quests and leveled.

Overall, things seem to be fine and having a lot of fun!

There are still lots of people in the leveling quest hubs on Behemoth. People are very often working on leveling up alt classes on their characters so there is a lot of activity at all levels. Also people can level sync in the duty finder and they will be adding duty finder roulette meaning if people queue for random dungeons they will get rewarded.

Tanking will get you the fastest queues in the duty finder by far. It is really surprising how long you might have to wait as a healer. Lots of healers in this game it seems. As someone mentioned, for endgame, bards are in high demand. Also melee dps seems under represented. But tanks are always at the top of the list it seems.

    All die, so die well.
