In the press release from May it says
"According to the revenue sharing agreement between SnailGame and the publisher, the amount of the deal exceeds 3 million EUR."
This doesn't say that they were actually given any money at all upfront. Could be the reason they needed to take those orders at $60 each and if that is the case than this project is doomed because if they really had to take from the fan base to get capitol to work with than it's over because it won;t ever happen a second time.
I always wondered what investor would be stupid enough to give millions upfront for this project.. but maybe they never were that stupid to begin with.

True, anyone investing 3 million euro on a 5 year old project that is 2.5 years late is clearly crazy or desperate.
I think more and more for each day that DNL becomes the largest morpg map but lacks anything original or interesting to do on that massive landscape unless you like to talk cyber-walks in the park..
It is surely doomed at some degree...
Either it dies before April due to raped community and bankrupcy.
Either it dies after April due to raped community and mediocre game.
Maybe it will be yet another failed morpg turned free2play like many Korean productions that simply dont take off the ground due to bleak skills/spells/original idea and inexperienced incompetent developers.
Its going to be interesting to see which publisher if any dares/wants to touch this product if it goes gold..
Id hate to order software from a free "dark-and-light.tk" domain.
