any good and upcoming MMO in 2014?

the most anticipated MMO was Blade and Soul for me, but the official NA site has been dead for total a year now..  they pulled down the facebook page, and 2 of the Devs have left the company. hopes are very low for now.

do you guys have any good or anticipated MMO in 2014? Black Desert looks really good, but still not sure if any english game company will publish it

Elder Scrolls Online, Destiny, Wildstar, Everquest Next, and maybe The Division

My hopes are fixed on Elder Scrolls, Archeage and Wildstar, but being a cynical old gamer I'm not holding my breath.

TESO, Archeage and Wildstar will likely come out this year. None of them look even a tiny bit like they are going to be good games though, just more of the same junk we've gotten the past few years.

    EQ Next is probably 2015.

There are a bunch of smaller titles that look like they might be good but putting a release date on those is very difficult.

I'm hoping Wildstar is not a "one month wonder" but we shall see image

EQNext is the only upcoming title to have caught my interest but as Ender4 said, who knows if it will hit 2014?

Probably ESO, Everquest Next if it releases in 2014 and maybe Wildstar, who knows....

If it wasn't for CREDD I'd say Wildstar holds the most promise, but any game that facilitates cheating (buying gold for cash) is garbage.

I seriously doubt EQN lands in 2014 when Landmark isn't even out in alpha/beta/whatever they're calling it yet.  Plus, EQN is a lot of pipe dreams and talk so who knows what it'll actually be when it's playable.  IF they somehow pull off all their talk it could be a remarkable game.

ESO...garbage.  What do you get when you take one of the best single player PVE RPGs series of all time, add a healthy does of PvP that has never had anything to do with the series, dumb down gameplay that typically involves being thrown to the wolves to an MMORPG level of dumbness.  You get garbage.

ES VI with limited co-op would be amazing (take Skyrim to the next level and let you play it with a few friends).  ES as an MMORPG?  You ditch everything that ever made the series amazing (depth, immersion, freedom) and have yet another steaming pile of an MMORPG based on an IP that should never have been made into an MMORPG.

Premium MMORPGs do not feature built-in cheating via cash for gold pay 2 win. PLAY to win or don't play.

All games facilitate gold for cash in direct or indirect fashions, get over yourself.

Hmm i think for me wouldn't consider playing Wildstar, just isnt my type of game, alittle too cartoon-nish xD.  I'm actually more interested in MMO like Black Desert, Bless online or hopefully Blade and Soul. thanks alot for the recommedation though. =D

Let me just understand this, one moment.

You don't want to play Wildstar because it looks too cartoonish, but you were interested in Blade & Soul.

EvE Online has been doing the exact same thing for years and that game actually has an economy that matters...

If Carbine was creating currency out of thin air and selling it to people for money, you'd have a point. However, since players still need to earn the currency in-game to buy CREDD from other players, no additional currency is being added to the game. If someone wants to waste their real-life money trading for fake money so they can buy some silly mount or some furniture for a fake house faster then someone who does a little crafting material farming, then that just makes them a sucker with more money then brains, not a cheater. ;)

I have high hopes that ESO and Wildstar will keep me entertained for at least a couple of months...

    • If you liked vanilla WoW at all, you need to be excited for wildstar, all I'm going to say.
    • If you enjoy 98% solo play with a great storyline and OK combat, you need to be excited for ESO.  Also all I'm going to say.
